  1. Worth the wait. Came out great!
  2. Wow... after all I read about this kit, I want one now! Super looking build!
  3. I have the Ertl reissue of the Barracuda. I did not like the engine compartment, molded exhaust and rear. I cut and trimmed a Dukes Charger chassis for it. Gas tank not correct, but it looks better now. I should finish it.
  4. Maybe the foil on the trim at the bottom is giving that illusion. I'll send my bumper guards to you can check them.
  5. Chuck, try placing the Johan rear bumper in the S&H tail panel hole.... Hmmmm.... add 72 front and hood, have a formal roof.
  6. Yea, correcting the S&H gives us another dilema. The S&H bumper really needs to be tighter to the body anyways, but I am entering "the rivetcounter zone"
  7. Yea, looks better built. I may take one and just do the window area and see how it looks. Gonna remove the bumper guards on mine tho. I like the look without and do not like the way Revell did those.
  8. I agree... just go away from directions and assemble the body first.
  9. Well, I sanded the primer down to the plastic on my 68 Shelby hood. The hole outline is my "ghost" I had filled the bottom with super glue before I even started. I may use some plastic cement on the top then re-sand
  10. Looking forward to this ones progress. I have this kit "semi-started" I cut the floor out of mine so I could assemble the body and fill the seams. Detailing looks great.
  11. Built it looks pretty decent. Good job
  12. Looking good. Did you cut out the side decal to locate the white/red areas? These are really nice kits
  13. Keep us posted Chuck, so far you are the eyes. I am in no way trying to stir the pot.... just asking. IMO, these are issues with the accuracy and ability to correct. I will gladly fix, but not redesign the wheel
  14. okay, adding my 2 cents in here, and thats about all it is worth. The Revell looks better that the resin, I know the front of the resin is too "clunky" looking also. As for the Revell window openings, just removing the chrome at the top of the door and C pillar will help, and maybe a smidge more. Do not worry about the chrome anyways, it was optional for the Gran Torino package and not on the S&H cars (maybe on some ordered. but not the movie or series cars) That was on the Elite and Broughams tho The S&H cars had a thin stainless piece with the window whiskers Another easy fix in the lower front fender. The Revell looks straight from the tire to the front bumper. It should slope up from tire to bumper. Little sanding, all is good. Overall the shape is pretty good, and alot of lil kinks can be addressed with some sanding and reshaping. Rockers, not sure, but I will try to address it once in hand. Looking at the above pic I posted, if the rockers and rear quarter are corrected (rolled in) is the bumper out of whack then since it angles like the quarter? Chuck?
  15. I'm lovin' it
  16. Those wheels worked for on the Chevy/GMC trucks though
  17. Almost a direct fit. Modified 66 Galaxie frame fits also.
  18. I bet the rectangular lights from the 66 Thunderbird would fit decently. Luckily, I have a few of these and a dozen or so resin copies of the 70 Torino Cobra shaker assembly. Maybe I'll top off a Boss 429 with one
  19. The air cleaner is steel and painted argent silver from the factory, as is the front valance. Looking good
  20. 4 year old Dodge with no rust holes? Amazing! Nice job!!!!
  21. That thing looks awesome...
  22. Looks great.... Not correct color.... LOL. Who cares!
  23. Ron, it just gets frustrating with NEW kits when these things are done wrong. As I have said before, a few of my most anticipated kits needed major corrections. One I gave up on and pitched. Chuck, thanks for the rear body panel pic. That would be correct for the car. The Base Torino and Brougham were different. The base car did not have trim in the center connecting the tail lights, and the Brougham had a reflective center panel. Pics are Base, Brougham, and Gran models. Hopefully being multiple pieces does not make the trim look to thick/wide. By leaving the entire rear panel open, it does leave the option for future kits from the base mold. (Elite/Cougar/Montego) But I highly doubt it.
  24. It is okay, Interesting they made the body panel piece separate. That is good, makes things a bit easier.
  25. Chuck, that primered car pic was a total stroke of luck. That's why I converted your pic to B&W for comparison. I already marked up some B&W copies of your pics for my initial reference IF I buy this. I may share..... sometime. The side window openings are a major issue in my eyes. I'd like to see how they did the tail light panel. If one piece chrome, I see stripping, painting and foil. Dave, that 72 looks great. If next to this out of the box, the flaws would really jump at you.
