  1. Looking good! Only thing really off is the spare tire well, the rest is fine.
  2. Very nice. I like it alot! Why didn't you trim out the stainless stone guards on the quarters?
  3. Solid color would be fine, but dropped with some wide wheels and tires would be sharp
  4. Looks great.
  5. Using the retractable interior pieces really sets it apart. Looks great
  6. Yes, it does.... and seats, but not as nice as the AMT Annual seats
  7. Love the "D" spoke wheels on it. With those wheel wells, you can go with 8" wide wheels and give it the stock car look. Little bit of paint, you could have a street version like this in Sweden...
  8. Yup, that is it. I have the front seats from an annual also I want to cast. For more of a stock build, the AMT/MPC 73 Cougar is a good donor for chassis and shock towers
  9. Red and white or black and white inside would work also. One day I'll get my hands on a 59. I have a few 60's tho
  10. I have several of these in different issues. I really enjoy them and with some patience, they build to a very nice kit. The plain, racing dash only is a disappointment, but luckily I have a stock dash from the annual I will eventually resin cast. I wish they would update the kit though, keeping the main components and doing something under the hood and chassis would be great.
  11. Looking cool, but the rear tires look too tall IMO
  12. Yes, the lowering was worth the effort for sure. Looking good, wish I had one of these kits.
  13. Looks really nice.
  14. Great save!
  15. Looks cool
  16. Great looking build. Looks like Jeremy took Bruce Jenners road....................... (sorry, couldn't resist)
  17. This was found in a shed, hauled to the scrapyard where I found it. I brought it home with me.
  18. I'm a Ford guy, but I'd like to have this
  19. The Duplicolor primer is fine because the Krylon is enamel
  20. this mold line here..... as for your paint, if going with a solid color, try WalMart again, or Lowes or Home Depot. Check the Krylon colors out, they have something very close to Peacock. Also, Hobby Lobby or Michaels carry Krylon Short cuts. I have had very good luck with Krylon paints on my kits. I have not tried the "2x" cover paints, so I am not sure what to say bout them.
  21. Another great old kit.... Get some foam fingernail sanding sticks at Wal Mart and sand out those mold lines on the top of the rear fenders. Doing so will really make a difference when you are done. I have one on the shelf and I did not sand them and it drives me crazy. As for color, I prefer darker colors on these boats, and red... but you been there.
  22. I'd say dunk it in the purple bath. The Thunderbird trim on the fender is going to get lost soon after paint is applied. Try using Duplicolor automotive primer. Sandable or not. I use the sandable for if I am doing custom bodywork. It is thicker and fills in small imperfections. The regular automotive wet sands fine and goes on very nice and smooth. Also, the Duplicolor automotive paint may attack that plastic primer. The primer you used is much thicker anyways because it is made for dried plastic outdoor furniture. Another good idea is to attach the headlight bezels before painting. Then you do not need to worry about possibly creating a boo boo on the paint. (or worse yet, loosing them) I'll be watching this, I have a 57 'Bird on the bench also. Although an old simplified kit, it can be built very nicely. Do your research on the engine details if you plan to do any. Just my 2 cents..... keep on going.......
