  1. And so it begins................... https://www.ebay.com/itm/124999279066?epid=1822782758&hash=item1d1a89a1da:g:9aUAAOSw9gxhje20
  2. Is the grill open on the Bronco? Also it looks to have a decent looking 351M engine. I will need several for sure
  3. Well, this is looking great. So glad opinions were listened to and things checked for accuracy. the correction to the body makes it look "right" Makes this kit even more desirable to me. Cannot wait
  4. Right, I have seen with just the chrome above also. I have also seen them with no grill or end pieces (Chevy bumper is 5 pieces) and a moon tank mounted to the center section of the bumper.
  5. This has always been a cool kit. May I suggest looking for the old Revell 57 front bumper and grill. You trimmed the bumper, but it is still there. The OLD Revell has a separate grill and makes cutting the bumper away easy. Here is a pic of a 1:1 with just the bumper removed.
  6. Found this sealed at a thrift/resale store for a really good price. Amazes me the quality control or lack there-of from Ertl. The box build is missing fuel tanks, tail light panel, rear fenders and mudflaps!
  7. Bronco and KW 925 for sure.... The little D50 maybe, but I want the off road version
  8. I really like it
  9. Looks great! I have one in the wings and am doing the Kenworth W900 now. Awesome slump busters that look good next to more detailed kits.
  10. I am up in the air about this one right now even though I have all the other Ford C series kits. Not sure I could build a garbage truck that looks like a "garbage truck" Maybe I could print a window sticker for a "just delivered" garbage truck.
  11. The body on the revell 49 Merc is so botched I tossed it in the trash and used the rest for parts. Almost did the same to the chopped 48 Ford and 57 Fords, but I am attempting to fix those. I have to wait on the Revell Mustang, if anything like most other Revell offerings, the body will be screwed up.
  12. 2020? Hmmmmm..... My wallet is safe this month.
  13. I knew it was a Superman movie!!!! Just was not sure which one. Not sure I'd leave my 32 roadster parked on the New York city streets at night tho.
  14. Yea, I remember that one too.... I know I saw the 32 Ford in a city street scene at night, another car rolled back into it. Now I gotta watch the movie... UGH
  15. I lined up one side and clamped it, then did the same on the other. It was not far off for me.
  16. Prolly off topic, but updating existing kits would be a plus in my book. 63 and 64 Impalas/Galaxies with a detailed chassis and interior? Would that not involve just tooling up interior pieces since the floor frame and firewall are available from the 62 Impala and 61 Starliner? Same for the 66 Mustang and 68 Shelby among others. My 2 cents
  17. I had a similar issue, I just glued one side at a time.
  18. Well, it should look like this... Guess mine doubles as an AC compressor. LOL
  19. AMT 72 Chevy truck has what looks like an A/C pump as well. Instructions just reference it as air pump. I detailed one out and did not research and made what is called out as the alternator the A/C pump. The AC pump would be more on the side of the engine to be correct though.
  20. I need to jump in here rather than starting a new topic. I have recently painted a body and wish to clear it after the decals are on. The body was primed then painted with Rustoleum Gloss protective enamel (not 2X). I wish to clear it but it is 2 tone blue and white. Unfortunately the blue was the key because the enamel was the only one that matched my prefered color. #1 Will 2x clear go over the paint already applied? #2 Does the 2x yellow? #3 What can I cover enamel with that will not yellow? Future shine? Tamyia? Thanks in advance
  21. Great input. I have some extras from the sheet, maybe I will use on a scrap body and experiment......
  22. Okay, I will need to do some digging then. These were old Chimneyville decals, if that makes a difference.
