  1. Very Nice!
  2. Wow.... Ya know, I have one almost finished... I think I may need to wrap it up and join the Jawbreaker club
  3. Great looking build of one of my favorite cars
  4. That isn't a model, it's art. Wow
  5. That looks great! I have one to restore and a new MK and am looking forward to the new release.
  6. Wonder if Round 2 is designing their box art? LOL
  7. Revell Snap maybe?
  8. Out of the box topic.... Nice
  9. Sharp... At first, looking at pic 1, I thought it was a Cougar
  10. I started a build thread on this, and it stalled Well eneded up with a paint issue on the hood, then when fitting I found the hood would not close because of the air cleaners. Ended up sanding the middle of the hood almost paper thin. Then the rear wheels would not fit under the car, so mods needed to be made. Nothing fancy, not even wires. The decals dual quads, wheels tires and exhaust tips are the only thing not out of the box. Ohh, and the rear window film. Looks good on the shelf, so I am happy with it.
  11. Love it! Looks great
  12. Same here... I do not like the format
  13. Was searching Ollies and came home with a Crown Vic. Not a big deal, but you got the kit and a case for $9.99.... and I could not resist the decal set in it, Hamburg Park Asylum Security... LOL. it was a must have after I saw that!
  14. With a little work, that builds into a decent looking kit. I know many old kits need some recatangular strips added for "rocker panels" and it helps a lot with fitting. Here is a 75 Dodge Dart I have done this to. Seems a lot of the MPC based kits are benifited with this modification. Many MPC based kits also need some rear mounting points, pictured is the same 75 Dart kit. Worst case, a great Saturday night stock car. I have only ever found one kit I could not do something with to make me happy with it.
  15. Got 2 bodies from J and J resin today. AMT chopped 40 Ford. Darn thing looks like a kit body. Not thick like many I have seen. Chopped, door handles, trim and hinges remain, corrected windshield opening. Great casting for sure. Heck, would not even need paint! Two thumbs up
  16. What you are doing is 100% correct. Once the body is together, it is just a normal bild. Do alot ot test fitting along the way. I built this one years ago. Needs a rebuild since the top assembly has come apart. For once, I used too little glue. BTW, 55 Fords do not use any similar chassis components. The AMT 58 Edsel or 60 Starliner would be a correct chassis
  17. Looks good to me. These old work horses were worked and never perfect... well, maybe when new.
  18. Thanks for the input. I was kinda leaning towards the new Mobius spread axle flatbed.
  19. Love the color. This is gonna be sharp.
  20. In what scenario would a long wheelbase truck be used or desired? Starting a new build and am extending the wheelbase and wish to incorporate an appropriate trailer. Thanks
  21. Ouch! Sad sight indeed, but hopefully some salvaging can come of it all. Good Luck!
  22. Adding a few outdoor pics. Thanks for the possitive feedback everyone! Correct, I have a truck want list now and was happy to see the White Western Star being released.
  23. Looks really nice. I have this on my "want list"
