Kenworth Aerodyne w Fruehauf tanker
Sledsel replied to aquaflug's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I like it -
Very nice. All parts fit as they should. Quality seems very good. Here are some close up pics. Packaging was great also. Each part was wrapped in a soft cloth then wrapped with bubble wrap.

Received my parts today. Shipping was extremely fast and the parts look great. Mold lines cleaned up, casting is crisp, plating is nice but not overly chrome. Very happy.

Model Builders' Warehouse 3D Printed Parts
Sledsel replied to Randy D's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Holy smokes those look nice. Never put Webers on a build because they did not look "right" Guess that will change. Wow -
This will help.. https://www.ebay.com/str/deckoco?_trksid=p2047675.l2563

No no no. All my Edsel parts were $30 total
-
I do not think so. As an FYI, everything in the picture was $30. Compared to some Ebay parts I have seen sell, I thought it was fair.
-
Not sure if anyone has used them or heard of them. I just purchased some resin parts for my 59 Edsel and will update on the quality. https://www.facebook.com/Decko-Car-Company-1698695280207130/

Well, I got lucky, the Imperial tail lights were in the box with the kits. What I will be searching out is the tail lights for the 59 Edsel.

Back on April 5th I posted some pics of some kits a friend found in his barn. Well he found some more and again gave them to me. I offered to buy them but he said just take them. Most missing pieces were in the box they were in. For now, they are getting cleaned, loose pieces bagged and marked, and they will be displayed as-is. I'll rebuild them later... maybe.

AMT Diamond Reo rebuild
Sledsel replied to Sasquatch86's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I sure like this build -
Didn't the 62 Chevy have the same roof? Just a thought? but.... did they have the plans for the 49 Merc and Ford? 57 Chevy and Ford? Probably not, and those are about dead on. Now Revell's 57 Chevy sedan is a really nice kit, the 57 Fords on the other hand are disasters.
-
Wow.... Sorry this happened. Glad it will be rebuilt.
-
Now, not being as knowing on the Chevy's, I do see that the C pillar does look a bit thin. I will need to dig out my 63 and 64 Chevy's to compare. The Revell 63 looked horrible to my "Ford" eyes when I took it out of the box. Sat on the shelf a long time til I flipped it for something else. These old kits were made by artists....

The rear is just the bumper guard locations, other than that, same bumper. I said the front would be a stating point is all. The center of the Torino is close, but ends need worked. That being said, not all Thunderbirds had the bumper guards and rub strips.

Rear should be easy, same as the Revell Torino, The Torino front can be a starting point. I like this A LOT

I am in the same boat. I think they have a sheet with multiple sizes though
