  1. Looks great in orange! How long is that bed?......I'm wondering if I could fit two cars on it.
  2. Here's what have so far, I've asked him for more photos. If you join the Facebook group I posted you can reach Greg directly there.
  3. Greg Van Sickle at the "1967-72 Ford Pickup Scale Replica Group" on Facebook makes the corrected 73-79 longbox bed.
  4. Thx Steve!! I decided I needed to redo the roof after staring at Chris's old Zephyr photo. So I spent the weekend whipping this up...... More pix...http://public.fotki.com/fordflashback/dioramas/gas-station-1/
  5. Nice score!....I picked this one up for 30 bucks. Not sure what the plan is yet....
  6. I worked on the roof signage this weekend.............
  7. Moving along on the gas station... cut some small windows above the restroom doors, built a counter, working on the interior walls now. I'm looking for ideas on toilets and sinks! More pix... http://public.fotki.com/fordflashback/dioramas/gas-station-1/
  8. I built the sign today, turned out good. I printed the Zephyr signage on photo paper. The sign itself is sheet plastic with a foam core.
  9. WOW I wish I'd have seen that sooner!
  10. From one of the big model kit vendors at the Detroit Autorama. I should have bought more than one, he was a lot cheaper than ebay! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Unique-Replicas-1-24-Scale-1950s-Gas-Pump-Island-Set-with-Accessories-/112324160198?hash=item1a270aaac6:g:bO8AAOSwmmxW4Let
  11. You are correct, it is not one of the 100 DST cars. I have heard it was built for Bonner by H&M, other than that I don't have much info on it. I've never even seen any vintage photos of it. It's in good company here: http://www.snyderspecialtycars.com/
  12. Bonner had three Thunderbolts. Four if you count the clone he had built before he passed away. 1. The burgundy one that was wrecked, and scrapped. It was one of the original 11 burgundy drag council Tbolts. 2. The Poppy Red hardtop (supposed built by H&M), now owned by Don Snyder. 3. The white one pictured above with Fred Lorenzen who drove in some match races. This is the car that was recently found in a barn, and restored by Donald Allen. it was painted burgundy like Bonner's first Tbolt instead of white.
  13. This is my first attempt at a simple dio. I stumbled across this Esso station and it became my inspiration to try to build something similar. This will be a Zephyr station, they seem to be uncommon and I wanted something different. More pix: http://public.fotki.com/fordflashback/dioramas/gas-station-1/
  14. Great job, and nice fleet of Tbolts!! I saw the Bonner car at Chicago. It's too bad they painted it the wrong color, it should have been white.
  15. The correct color for both the Galaxie and the Thunderbolt is 1962-63 Champagne (aka Castilian Gold), color code "I". This comes from the current owner of the Tbolt.
  16. Mine came from AITM, someday I'll build this.....
  17. Yes it's a phantom box made up for the owner of the blue SS FDT Mustang.
  18. The "7 Litre" grill actually came on the LTD, Galaxie 500 XL, and Country Squire as well. Engine size had no bearing on grill application.
