Im in the final process of polishing out the paint on a 64 Fairlane. Then Id like to go over it with a round of Novus 1 and 2 and some wax I want to install some photo etch, on the body. When is the best time to glue these on? Before the Novus or after the Novus and wax. Id rather install them after everything, so I dont have to work around the P.E., and dig out the wax. But I also want them to stay on. Thoughts and experiences are appreciated Thanks

An excellent build, Bill. Nice engine detail. I really like how you made the headers look like there made of small sections. 👍

I agree, this is a great video. I really like that channel. Lots of cool history -
Ive bought a bunch of bicycle stuff on AliExpress. You have to buy from them with the tight expectations. Its not going to be as good as the name brand stuff, usually. But if your just trying something new, its a good way to get into that new project. But I have been satisfied with the stuff Ive bought, 90% of the time. And most of the time, if you have an issue, the sellers have always tried to fix the problem so they dont get a bad review.. Oh, And it can take a while to get delivered.

I took an early retirement, at 64, because my job was causing numbness in my hands. (I worked in a foundry). It did take me about a month or so to adjust to not doing 10-12 hour work shifts. I did a lot of sitting around, enjoying not having to deal with the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH from work. But I slowed to much. Then I became more and more lazy. Spent more and more time on utube. And I got really bored. Gained a bunch of weight. But I realised that this couldnt go on or Id either go crazy or Id just turn into a vegetable. So I got back into bicycle riding, doing long hikes. When I cant ride, I go to the gym. Ive always had really good physical health and I dont want to lose it. I now build models 2-3 hours, most days. This year Ive ridden 4400 miles on my bike. I feel a lot better. Im getting better at finding the balance of enjoying not having to work and keeping myself busy enough. I think if you dont have some passion for something when you retire, its the start of a mental, physical decline

Some say the "murdered look" is over done but I like it and you've got it nailed. I like the use of both gloss and flat black on the body. Nice build!

An excellent build, Scott. Great choice of colors!!

Microscale's Micro Set says it is a decal remover. Never tried to use it that way, but maybe?

Thanks guys @Bill-I wish that Testors paint were still available. Yea, maybe on line, but certainly I have no place near me that still carries Testors. Well, except for the little square bottles. @ThatGuy-The silver you did is what Im looking for. Ive never heard of Pegasus paint. What size needle did you use? Ill have to look it up. Nice build, by the way @Greg-Yes, I do have an airbrush. Would a .7 needle do the job? Thanks for the link.

Hi all: Im looking for a clear, that has metallic/glitter in it, but in a bass boat style. Yea, I know it might not be in scale, but it will be appropriate for the build Im doing. Any one know of such a paint? Short of that, is there a way to reproduce that effect? And I guess I should add, it needs to be compatible with Tamiya acrylic paint. Thanks in advance Jeff
