  1. I think that I can see the finish line!
  2. Thanks for all the encouragement guys!!! Working on the dash now.
  3. Very cool project!!! The interior is spot on!! It looks like it's right out of a Peterbilt brochure.
  4. One of the pictures that I have of a 69 has these vents without the control levers and has a roof a/c unit with the a/c vents in the ceiling. So you may be right Sam. These three control levers may have had to do with a/c. I also noticed that the 68 that I have pictures of without dash vents has a very simple heater box with manual doors much like an H model Mack. Maybe Tim will be along to shed some light on this.
  5. I've always "assumed" that these vents were for defrost. I have a picture of a 69 that has them, and the pictures of 68 and older that I have doesn't have them. It looks almost like your second picture still has a type of vent grills in that spot. The ones that I have either have nothing or a fan mounted in that spot.
  6. Very nice!! Excellent Work!! The weathering is spot on!!
  7. Great work!! I used to drive a wrecker with a bed similar to these and have been wanting to build one in scale. Did you scratch build them or did you source them from somewhere? The trucks look awesome!!!
  8. You have a way of capturing that vintage look!! Great Work!!
  9. One of best fire trucks that I've ever seen!! Great Work!!
  10. I try to stick to one at a time. If I stop on one I'll probably never finish it.
  11. Welcome to the Forum. Great work!!!
  12. Simply incredible. True Craftsmanship!!
  13. Thanks for the comments guys!! Black was definitely a better choice. I'm really wanting to finish this one. I hope that I'm on the home stretch.
  14. Could it be that I have finally gotten some paint on this cab to stay??? It is a combination of jet black with some pearl black mixed in and cleared with some 15 year old Testors clear coat. It's not 100% perfect, but it's going to be good enough for me.
