  1. I had stopped building about 13 years ago, because of other interest for one, but I had made model building too tedious and not enjoyable. If I'm not enjoying building (or not in the mood) I don't build. Gator I'm sure this build will be great, but most of all enjoy the build. When the mood hits you, there will probably be no stopping you. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this build.
  2. Looking good Travis! Yes, primer does count as paint. I had a couple of cars over the years that never made it past the primer stage. Speaking of removing what you put on, I used almost a whole can on the hood of my Diamond Reo. A little advise; Duplicolor paint and primer, as well as many others will continue to shrink as they cure which will continue to reveal places that need attention. If you sand too soon, before complete curing, an area that looks flawless, may not look that way in a week after shrinking. Don't ask how I know that. L.O.L.
  3. I really like the paint job so far!
  4. So sorry to see this one broken, but I'm sure that you will bring it back even better than before.
  5. Wow! This one is really coming to life!
  6. Thanks for the comments guys!! Well, I tried making an aluminum visor today. I'm not happy with it and plan to make another, but you can get the idea. The metal that I'm using is very thin, and I got too many wrinkles in this one, and it doesn't fit exactly right.
  7. Thanks for the encouragement guys!!! The engine is painted to match the frame. Alpine green or "Detroit green" has more blue in it than this shade of green does.
  8. That is my kind of build!! Very nice work!! The weathering is top notch!!!
  9. That interior is really looking sharp!!!
  10. Thanks for the comments guys! Sean, I'm not sure. I have some chrome automotive tape that I've used before, but I'm considering green straps.
  11. Thanks for all the comments and encouragement!!! Well, I tried making my first set of aluminum tanks. I have mixed feelings on how the first one turned out, but after two hours of hand polishing, I'm calling it finished. A look at the radiator shows why many H-63's have a cut out in the bumper.
  12. I really like the Peterbilt, but I REALLY like the KW!!!! Very nice work as always!! I would like to see more pictures though!
  13. That is one sharp KW! Great work!!! I've got to admit though, when I first saw the plans for the custom hood, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I've never cared for any of the 1:1's that I've seen, but I really like this one!! Top notch!!
  14. That is a sharp looking truck KJ! One problem though; I want to see more of it!
  15. Very nice detail work Terry! You are truly a craftsman!
  16. Very nice work! I like the work on the tanks!!
  17. Thanks for all of the comments!!! A little more work done today. It was a nice day for painting. Floor pan is fabricated and primed. Basic frame is painted. Engine is painted. Wheels are painted. Air bags that I casted are painted and installed.
  18. What he said!!! Excellent work!!
  19. This thing looks like it came straight off of the cover of Overdrive magazine. Top notch!! Excellent Work!!!
  20. Very Nice! The Wheels look great by the way!
  21. You are really doing a number on this one! Excellent Work!! Now the mechanic can actually get to the engine.
  22. Nice Build! I had problems with warped parts on mine too. The top of the cab dog dished downward, the cowl bowed down in the shape of a u, the hood was twisted, a the bed was twisted. I was able to correct everything but the bed with a little heat. I didn't catch that the bed was slightly twisted until final assembly, so I didn't attempt fixing it. But these are nice kits, just packed a little too tight in the box. I like your choice of colors too. Nice Work!
