Back in the day, when split axle Fords were converted to solid axles, we used to use the 1/2 ton front axles out from under the front of the 70's style Ford trucks with coil springs and radius arms. You could source the Firestone kit or B-N-L Resin sells those axles as well. If you are lifting it, you may want to consider using real coil springs. If you had a Dana 44 style hog's head from any kit, you could make your own axle tubes out of tubing. Just make sure to mount the hog's head upside down because those Ford axles were reverse cut. The Monogram may be 1/24 instead of 1/25 so you will have to adjust for that. The front would be similar to this:

Auslowe Model Accessories

I have dealt with many supplier that have similar processing time, so the 15 days didn't concern me. With that being said, I have also dealt with suppliers on this forum who were incredibly fast on delivery. I have ordered from KJ on Friday and had my parts by Tuesday. -
Auslowe lists some really great stuff on their website that is not readily available from other sources. I have purchased some of their products before from Spaulding Trading and Shipping, but I had always been hesitant about ordering directly from Auslowe themselves because they are half way around the world. I thought that maybe others felt the same way that I did, so I thought that I would share my experience. Well I finally placed an order with them. Fifteen days after the order, my stuff was shipped, and they arrived safely at my house ten days later. Auslowe sent emails confirming my order and confirming that my order was shipped. I was very pleased with both the product and the service and plan to purchase many other items from them in the future. I would highly recommend them.

Great work Sam!! I really like what you're doing with manifold. It makes me want to open the hood on the B-61 that I got from you. -

Looks like a cool project. I had one of these cabs once, but sold it. Oh well.

That's cool!! It is the same name, but I'm not sure if it's the same company. This company had a yard in Charlotte NC and one in Alabama (I think). The trucks painted slightly different and were white with a reflective red and a reflective blue stripe. I know that they leased trucks to Monkey Grip and Hudson Transportation. Thanks for posting the picture. -

Very nice!! I like the paint!!! -
You'll get a laugh out of this process. Now remember, I was 20 years younger back then. The truck is painted primer grey like a lot of mud hole trucks were back then. My brother took his Honda four wheeler and spun up some loose dirt that was very fine almost like powder. I taped out the windshield wiper pattern and then sprayed the truck with clear lacquer. While the lacquer was still wet we threw the dirt on it, and then sprayed it with clear lacquer. This took several times. After it dried, I air brushed it with Testors flat brown. When that dried, I dull coated it. The few places where the dirt fell off, left grey primer, which would look like a truck coming from the mud hole with mud falling off. I was pretty happy with the finished product. I'm going to try this again one day in the future.

I like this game! I like jacked up trucks. I've had several 1:1's over the years. This one is an old "High Roller" kit that I built close to 20 years ago and the photo is about that old. I took a picture of the photo with my phone and it is a little distorted, making the rear tire look like it is leaning, but it is not. This one was built many years ago as well. I wish that I would have kept this one. This is a recent build.
