  1. Thanks for all the comments guys!!! Thanks Sean! The mirror brackets are made from brass tube and they are telescoped together, but after almost 20 years I don't think that they will slide now.
  2. This is one very nice looking Peterbilt! It is hard to believe that it is 1/32 scale. Excellent work!!!
  3. I don't know if there was an issue with the chrome on these kits or what, but I have seen several built A Models that the chrome has turned red on. Some were pretty nice builds too.
  4. Great project! I've been wanting to get one of those Illini cabs myself!
  5. Very nice work! I like the bunk!
  6. This is a truck that I built close to 20 years ago. It is at my brother's house, so while I was there today, I snapped a couple of pictures. Keep in mind this was my first attempt at scratch building anything. The rack for the flag truck is a little too steep, but all in all I was pretty satisfied with it.
  7. I went to my trusty parts box to get some much needed parts and found that I had 1/2 of a piggyback brake chamber, 1 single diaphragm brake chamber, and 1 fuel tank mount. I tried my luck at casting once again and cast the rest. They turned out pretty good, considering that a few weeks ago I had never cast anything. Thanks for all the comments and encouragement!!
  8. Very nice and clean build!! Great work!!
  9. This thing is really coming together!! I always liked the single headlight look on these better than the double headlights.
  10. You have really got some skills!! You have captured the look of the 351 for sure!!! My favorite builds are old school builds. This one looks like it drove right up out of 1969.
  11. This may very well be the best Alaskan Hauler model that I have ever seen!! Excellent work!!!
  12. Very nice Mack!! Great work!!
  13. If you can find one, Bobby Griffen, "Griffen Designs" made one several years ago. It was just like the truck that you have pictured. I had one of these and the quality was pretty good, but I sold it before I had a chance to use it.
  14. This is one very nice build!!!
  15. Your attention to detail is incredible! Your skill is even better!! Excellent Work!!!
  16. Thanks for all the comments!! After fighting with this frame time and again, I finally took some of my son's Legos and made a jig to put this frame together. It is finally straight! The air ride minus the bags and rear axles are installed thanks to the help form Sean "Old buckaroo". R model springs were used on the front. The frame on an R model gets wider at the front, but on the B and H models it does not. After installing the springs, the Mack front axle from both the AMT kit and The MPC/Ertl kit were slightly too wide at the spring perches. Since this is a custom, I installed a Road Boss front axle with poseable front wheels. The engine is 85% together, the transmission will be a 4x4 Spicer. A 4 speed auxiliary is mounted as well. I'm casting tank mounts and brake chambers. It seems that I didn't have as many as I had thought. The wheelbase is right at 270" in scale. Still a long way to go!
  17. Nice! I like the little tank on the back!
  18. Wow! Painted without a decal! You have sure built some very nice trucks!!
  19. Very nice Autocar!
  20. Very nice! You've got a model building factory going on there!
  21. Oh man!! You're killing me! This thing is awesome!! I like the side windows!!
