  1. Just got the Revell '29 Roadster kit. It comes with 2 great sets of wheels, but of course only one set of Tires. Does any resin caster make 'drop-fit' tires that will work on these rims? Thanks
  2. Got the Revell (Ex-Monogram) '66 Malibu Flipnose Street Rod, and the Revell '29 Roadster with the Chevy Small Block. Both look great in the box.
  3. Sharp Build! I see no visible evidence of any decal issues.
  4. Waiting for my local HL to get the NEW AMT 66 Mustang Fastback.
  5. Now, it never had a correct tub. They just reused the '65. It is maddening, but that is how AMT sometimes did business, back then,
  6. Restore it! It looks great as is. Use Molitow pen on the molding, use your favorite wood graining method, and tell folks that ron got a good deal in 1975 on a leftover High End truck.
  7. I remember reading the Kit review in SAE when this first came out, in 2010-2015 or so. I believe Bob Downie built it. I seem to recall that there were stacking/spacing issue with the Front End Frame/Radiator/Chassis interface, there was even a photo. Does anybody have the issue, and can they tell exactly what to look for, and how it got fixed? Thanks. Alan
  8. Watching Game One of the Stanley Cup with the family. Kids and Grandkids, and Pizza & Chips. Im taking a break to keep the Amazon Parrot company so he does not freak out.
  9. 4 AMT Kits and One MPC go on my list. The Three Big Rig Trailers are of interest, and the '64 MOd Stock is a treasure trove of parts. The Switchers '32 Is a decent Kit, and has lots of good parts.
  10. That Blower set-up will never see the inside of the Truck engine bay. But it is perfect Dry Lakes Racer fodder. Mine will be on a '32 Ford Roadster.
  11. John, I cannot speak to all versions, but mine had Steel Wheels. The engine in the kit is the Willy's "Hurricane F-134" Four Cylinder. This was the older flat head, with a new OHC "F-Head" to get more power. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willys_Hurricane_engine
  12. Sharp Builds! Thank You for posting these. I hope my builds of these kits come out looking half as good as yours!
  13. I use an adblocker. Without one, there would be chaos in our computer.
  14. I feel Your Pain, Greg!
  15. Neat! Let's see the Others!
  16. Thanks for sharing this! Neat story.
  17. Wow, a combo I would never have thought of! Great work, on a unique build!
  18. Why in Tarnation is there such a rush to Clearcoat your Chrome? Clear Coats yellow, and dull, after time. Too Many coats of finish begin to Blur and Obscure. 17 Layers might be fine for real 1 to 1 cars , but I think that many of today's Modelers have an obsession with finishes that might be a bit obsessive. Spray, your chrome of choice, install it, and be done.
  19. Always heard that said about the Oil Business.
  20. I've read a long article in one of the Muscle Car mags about the car. I want to say Hemming's but I could be wrong. Worth finding the whole story about the car.
  21. I have been buying things at Re-Sale stores (Goodwill, Salvation Army, and others) for 30 Years. Goodwill seldom lets Model Kits escape to shelves, now that they have the 'shopgoodwill' online store. Other stores get them some times. Estate sales have been a loser for me, but a fellow member of our local model club, goes every weekend. Most times he is skunked, but when he scores (4/5 times a year) he hits it big time. Last haul was 75-80 car kits for 50.00 bucks. Most were 1990's trash, but a good dozen or so were worth listing on eBay. He made about 300.00 from those. He has found at least 2 Pocher kits, and those sold well too. Model kits are every where, but finding them second hand takes time and luck.
