  1. Not Sure how good the fit will be. The Badman is 1/24 and the AMT is 1/25. It may not be an issue, but I do not have the Monogram kit handy to compare.
  2. I never thought of this as a Drag Racer. Cool Build!
  3. My Dad did the reverse. USN '58-'62, Married in 62, Graduated in '69 or '70. Were you in the Vet's Club?
  4. Sharp Build, Jim! I too, like the wheels, you chose.
  5. I've got this book. https://www.amazon.com/Dry-Lakes-Drag-Strips-American/dp/0760312168/ref=sr_1_11?crid=H18MSSWASSIJ&keywords=dean+batchelor&qid=1666701571&sprefix=dean+batchelor%2Caps%2C148&sr=8-11 Dean Batchelor. "Dry Lakes & Drag Strips" Lots of photos, and some great info, about how the cars were built, who built them, and what the Dry lake & 1940s-1950s So Cal Car Culture was like.
  6. Wish Round2 could find the molds for this kit. They are already using the USPS Licensing.
  7. Great Build. The weathering is very realistic. I like the colours you chose.
  8. Bob's my Great Uncle, actually! ?
  9. That Riviera is a sweet kit. It will be a great car when you get done. Here is a quik overview of the kit directions. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/buick/amt-68-riviera-hardtop/?view=roll#1
  10. This Right Here! We know that the tooling for at least one dirt bike is ready to go. Throw one in the back of the Stepside. Or, as Luc says, release a Dirt Bike Race Team. I'd prefer a pickup to a Van, but the Dodge, Chevy and Ford Vans, have all been molded in the recent past. I'm not sure about a trailer, but maybe the trailer from the recent '63 Wagon could hold a bike or two. Throw in a sprue full of tool from one of the recent "Top Shop" tool sets, and you have a complete Dio-in-a-Box.
  11. Amen Brother! A Dirt Bike, or a pair of them would be just awesome!
  12. Wedding went off without a hitch! Bride was beautiful (as all brides are) and the ceremony was brief but meaningful. All is well, for now. That is the last one, out of the nest.
  13. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Over_the_Hill_(1992_film) 1992.
  14. And, I see you got your Jackman Wheels, too. Very Nice.
  15. Wow, an absolutely striking build! The effort you took to get it right really shows. Great Build!
  16. Wish I could get up there and see it! My Dad is an Alumni of Chico State. I lived in Chico from 1967-1972, before moving to Bakersfield.
  17. Only image I can find of another '59 Chevy Hot Rod in Oz. From the Movie "Over the Hill". Not sure if the Mad Max Chevy and the OTH Chevy are the same car, but there cannot be that many RH Drive '59 Chevies down there.
  18. Awesome Build, Mike! The Colours on your Fade jump off the screen!
  19. Cool Build! Your careful work will result in a beautiful finished model.
  20. Both Monogram and Johan kitted Caddy V-16s. I'd offre one, but I sold those kits off.
  21. Nice Garage Workshop, Bob! And the Merc is looking sweet!
  22. All White with a burgundy stripe.
  23. I am glad you are, but truly having kids and grandkids has made me a better man. It has not been easy (my youngest spent 18 out of his first 24 months in Hospital), but he is the one getting married tomorrow. So, I am happy.
  24. Don't Know about that. I suspect the Steelies and 2WD will wind up in another kit, which I am betting will be a longbed. Just my own thoughts on future boxings of the kit.
