  1. I saw that, myself. Great news if it really is coming. Not much in the way of options in the kit, but maybe we'll get a choice of Stock or Custom grilles. And hopefully some nifty decals.
  2. In fact, it has three distributors. White Plastic, Clear Plastic & Smoked Clear Plastic. Plenty of fodder for the spares box.
  3. I think the Red Clear on the Rivi left sometime in the "bad old days" of the Penny Pinching 1970's. They disappeared from many AMT kits then. The 77 Ford van holds little appeal, but that could change when I see what finally ends up in the box. That happened to me on the recent '65 Lincoln Convertible. The '34 Has been mentioned a long time in the past in some context on the Round2 "Collector Model" blog. It will be nice to see it back. I'd really like to see AMT resurrect the legendary '66 Skylark kit.
  4. Scott, grab up a Lindberg '34 or two. Nice kits, beautiful Chrome Plating, excellent molding. The Decals are mostly bland, and the Armstrong tires are lacking in detail, but it is a great kit. Consider also, that if Lindberg had not rescued the tooling, it might have gotten lost forever. I for one am Darned Glad that Lindberg was able to produce and sell me the First Car Kit I ever owned. (my Dad built it) I have about 6 of them in the stash.
  5. So? Any More Pics of the New Kit? 6 tires or just 4? Any re-tooled parts? What's on the decal sheet?
  6. My local HL has been the at the same size for Models since it opened. About 9/10ths of an aisle. The Resets are just a changing of the planogram on what kits are stocked in what slots on the shelf. Should be fun, although most of the May R2 kits are already on the shelf. June should be a fun month.
  7. Randy. Preach it, Brother! You are SO right. I've seen similar stories with Drag Racing cars. Raced on Friday Qualifying with the "Good, New" body. Crashed on second run of day. Ran in Finals on Saturday with back-up body, hurriedly trucked in from L.A. overnight. Came in third place on Sunday still running back up body. Stuff happens, and the 'posed' pre-race and post race photos of the same car can show variations in both markings and build details.
  8. Nice Build. It looks used, but not abused.
  9. Platform does NOT move. Kit is VERY simple. Can go together without paint in under 2 hours. (which was the goal for most T.D. kits then)
  10. Right On, Sfan Goch! You nailed it. Just like 'cozy' is Realtor slang for Not Big enough to swing a Cat.
  11. That would be roughly 3 to 4 MM (Millimeters).
  12. Harley Richards from Britain did this one several years ago. http://www.showrods.com/gallery_pages/garbage_pickup.html He notes the size issue.
  13. Heck Yeah! Send about 6 of those. You can NEVER have too many XR-6's... I have two of the original XR-6 kits, Four of the '27 Firetruck versions of this tool, two My Mother the Car kits(also from this tool) and a half dozen of the later versions of the touring, including the Hillbilly Hotrod. It is a fabulous kit. Needs to be brought back restored. It would be nice to see the firetruck version back as well.
  14. All three of these kits share the Chassis, Engine and stock wheels. Monogram got a lot of use out of these tools.
  15. I have one. Great kit. About 60% of it still exists. Wish Revell would restore it. Notgonnahappen, though.
  16. I remember a reviewer in 1988, writing in one of the car magazine, saying that the shifter worked "with all the smoothness of a baseball bat in barrel full of coconuts". It was such a memorable phrase, that I still recall it, some 30 years later.
  17. Sweet! Great Colour on the outside.
  18. Your son has great taste. Look really Sharp.
  19. Izzat that Revell "Snap" Peterbilt? It sure is a great build!
  20. That sprue with the radio is indeed the same as the S&H kit. It makes a nice bonus.
  21. As far as I know, your only choices are the Imai kits from the 1990's. Revell only does the 1959 Caddy. However others may know much more.
