  1. Thanks, Casey. Those links are helpful to me, too.
  2. Put the "Shrink Ray" down, and nobody gets hurt. What an awesome finish you have. The rear bumper looks so real. I'd like to see how you weathered it.
  3. Not my Cuppa, but a neat car none the less. Those Wheels hafta go!
  4. Your Build is just Too Cool! Great Idea, and even better execution.
  5. I'll have to disagree with Chad's usual product hype. There is NOTHING cool about this. In fact it is vaguely sad. This looks to me, like a "Throw it at the wall, and see what sticks" move. Come on you guys, you can do better than this. I'll wait to see what is shown next month.
  6. I wonder where he got the decals.....
  7. I got the $12.50 Aero Chief Last Monday. Got the last '57 Gasser too. My HL was all out of clearance kits when I left. May be more there now. I don't know. May stop by tonight and see.
  8. Has HPI Guy (aka Chris) seen this yet?
  9. Casey, you don't have the instructions for that 'Countdown Series" Merc do you? I've never seen that version of the kit. Only one I have seen is the 2004-ish boxing.
  10. That kit has a (lousy) engine doesn't it?
  11. Answered my own question. "1/25 T386-225 AMT Gear Hustler 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle El Camino Construction Field Service Rare first and only issue. AMT modified the El Camino for Construction Service, adding wide rim wheels, Gates Commando XT heavy duty tires for go-anywhere grip, a detachable shell top, choice of three different construction company decals, six pack and two hard hats. Features Chevy V-8, detailed engine compartment and opening hood, full interior, detailed chassis and more. Molded in bright yellow,, clear, red-tinted clear, chrome plate and with rubber tires." So I expect to see the decals, hard hats, and maybe the Six Pack. If we are really lucky, maybe the heavy duty tires/rims also. This is for the '64, not the '65, but I expect the '65 will be done mostly the same way.
  12. I wonder if there were ever any 'construction' parts in this kit, or if it was just decals? Be nice to have this one back, though. Mine will be a Gasser, if the parts are still in the kit for that option.
  13. That's NICE! Great Build.
  14. is there a bigger version of this photo? I can barely make out the Autocar, and can't really tell what else is there.
  15. Could we please get at least the grille, wheels and push bar from the Scout SSII in this kit? Better, can we have the whole SSII kikt back. That would open my wallet fast! [edit] P.S. Any body know if the grille is different in the two kits? Box art makes it look different, but I've never seen the SS in plastic, so I don't know. In fact is there a scan of the Scour SSII instructions? I've never seen those either.
  16. This is a great 1990's tooled kit, but completely free of options other that the Manual/Auto trans. Even Round2's own features list is thin. I wish that Round2 had combined this and the 427 version in one box. As it is, this is a case where Pad Printed tires and an updated (but still tiny) decal sheet are not enough to get me to pull the trigger. I hope it sells well, but I'll be waiting for next quarters announcements.
  17. Man, I want one of those Plymouth Savoys. I'm sure the only resin kit of that body style came from the now defunct Modelhaus....... Maybe I'll see one at a swap meet someday.
  18. 1. Sow's Ear to Silk Purse! 2. Gil Costa, as soon as you complete your build, Revell will announce a new tool kit. The world waits for you.
  19. A great Build! Unusual subject matter, well executed.
  20. I saw an article about these racers in a 1-1 car magazine and wondered when I see one modeled. Your's is superb! I like the vibe. Looks like it is ready for a cover photo.
  21. Where'd you get the shrink ray? Awesome, looks like what you'd see at a car show in Los Angeles.
  22. Wow! A winner for sure! Alan Alexis
  23. Can't sleep either, 'eh, Delton? I agree with what you say.
  24. Got the last Aero Chief Fire Truck and the last Revell (ex-Monogram) Sherman Tank. Nothing left at the Bakersfield H.L. I noticed that the stuff went real fast.
  25. It would be really nice to have the scoop back. I need a couple of these. I've got plenty of the coupes and SD's but only one sedan. Looking forward to this. Any Idea when it is supposed to hit the shelves?
