  1. It was the Horse Hide Hauler first in 1969, and then released later in 1969 as the Surf 'N Van. After that is has never been seen again. http://www.showrods.com/showrod_pages/horse_hide.html http://www.showrods.com/showrod_pages/surf_n_van.html Be great to see Round2 dust this one off, and re-issue it. Looks like it re-uses the Surf Woody's frame and engine, but without a side by side look at the parts, it is hard to tell. It would not surprise me if the chassis at least was re-used. That was a major tooling project on the Woody, and I can see trying to get all the mileage out of the tool that they can. Looking at the pics of the Built Kit, it looks no worse than many other Showrods of the day. I'd happy to buy it & build it. Edit: Adding a link to a build thread of this kit at Showrods.com. Looks like the chassis IS the Surf Woody. That Gas Tank look familiar too. http://coffincorner.proboards.com/thread/13706/surfn-van-horse-hide-hauler
  2. Well, I wouldn't call it a "probe" exactly...............
  3. But, no one ever believes me, when I tell them about being inside the UFO.......... I'm not an expert in them, as I was only inside the one UFO, but I was there over 17 hours. I'd never even think of calling myself and expert.
  4. Thanks, Chris! I really like that colour.
  5. What!?! The Borgward '54 Isabella will not be kitted! I had such High Hopes for that one too. I had a diorama all planned with the Messerschmitt 'Kabinroller' Dang. Now I'm bummed!
  6. Like Greg Smith mentioned, I wish they would put in more than one ripper. Never made sense to have holes for three, and only one shank in the kit. Never the less, I'll be in for one of these. Going to build in in Navy Grey as a SeaBee Machine.
  7. Boy, going to be REAL interesting to see the Decals on this release............ And, how soon does the aftermarket step in..........
  8. Don't tease Casey! Have you seen something?
  9. Man, Chuckyr, that is what I see in my yard and on the road every day. All of our trucks, are that way now. And the boss is selling off the Freight-Shakers, and buying new Petes and Kenworths. Alan Alexis Levinge Freight Lines Bakersfield Terminal Supervisor.
  10. Note that 6 (!) new builds of Modified Stockers have been posted in the Under Glass section. All are Brilliant Builds, and the various builders have done outstanding work on them. Inspiration for some clean builds. I really wish Round2 would pop some more of these out. They are just SO much fun.
  11. They Might Be. I could have mistaken the for GM wheels.
  12. Odd the GM Truck Wheels fit that Lincoln.
  13. Thanks, Robert! I need to just pull the trigger and order some Olsen Stuff, and some more Fireball stuff for my Bronco.
  14. Love the 'Roo Bar! That colour is sharp too. What a great build. Were the Olsen Roadster Doors difficult to install. I want to use a set on my Bronco, but have not bought any yet?
  15. That chrome custom grille is a direct drop fit to the AMT '65 Mustang Notch back. The same it true for the stock grille on the Notch.
  16. Ah! I see now. Too bad I don't speak Finnish. Only some Spanish and German.
  17. Andy H, has done yeoman work on fixing the Revell kit. If you want to go for accuracy, follow his corrections. If you want just a 'shelfer' the Revell kit went together well for me. I'd be guided by what you to build. I was not at all impressed with Round2's much ballyhooed re-issue of the "improved" '57 Fairlane kit. The decal sheet was small, and the re-tooled parts were mostly a joke. But it would build a nice "Three-Footer", like the Revell. Depends really on where you want to go with the build.
  18. Thanks for the photos, gentlemen! That tells me much of what I wanted to know.
  19. Issen Fisu? Frozen Fish? Very sharp build. I like it.
  20. That is a great build! I like the stock look too.
  21. I've got a plaque of the C&T Strokers photo on the wall in my office. Nice big 9" x 11" metal print. Great for work.
  22. Thanks, Craig! That means I can still get some.
  23. On these MS kits. Does anybody have pics of the Chrome trees for the 65 Fairlane, the '69 Falcon and the '66 Olds? I'd really like to see what they look like. I am fascinated with these kits, and acquire them when the budget allows. I wish round2 would do even a short run of these.
