I got the '69 Falcon, and have started building the '64 Ford. Hope to have at least one done by September.

The Quad Headlight parts are all the in the latest release of the '57. I've seen them

This only makes sense. With the Dirty Donny "Phantom" Van out there, going back to the same well again with different Box Art, Decals, (and hopefully some of the 'missing' custom parts, back in the kit.) plus the Pad Printed tires, should generate some more sales. If this goes well, maybe we'll see the Six-Wheel Van and it's mini-bike back someday.

Funny. I do not see any difference at all.

The Rotary in the Monogram RX-7 is a Two Rotor, I think. Might have to Bash something.

Mike C, not to be snarky, but until Revell is back up and running in the US, you're pretty much up a creek. I don't see Blitz having any kind of parts replacement program operating until next year (at the soonest), so you should just hang on the the kit and bar code to prove you bought it. Maybe they'll help. The other option is to hunt down just the body from one of those guys who parts out kits on the 'Bay. I know we all slag on them, but in this instance, it could be a real life saver for you. That's all I got on ways to help you problem,.

Thanks, All. I've got the Gama Goat situation covered.
-
Yeah, James I know that. All I really want are the decals and rescue gear.
-
Somebody is not proofreading at Round2.
-
Can anybody get me one of those Gamma Goats? I'll pay the 75% off cost, plus 10 bucks, plus shipping to California. TIA

Well, to my eyes, a half cab with the roadster doors is a perfect look. But, that is my taste. Not all will share it. I'll be combining one of these roadster with a full hardtop for another build, so to me there exist many options for this kit. Now to get a Baywatch Toyota kit, to scavenge parts and decals from. This roadster Scout looks like the perfect 1970's Lifeguard Unit.

HL in Bakersfield has nothing on Clearance. I asked and the person who normally stocks the Models looked at me like I was crazy. When I told her that other HLs had these kits on clearance she flat told me that I was wrong. She has been helpful in the past, so I just shut up. Bought the Lindberg Owens22' Cruiser boat.

Now, if only we could get somebody to do a Resin "Half-Cab" for it. This will be great next to the Revell Bronco.
-
Our own Casey has the instruction sheet for this kit. http://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/361/ertl-8030-international-scout-ss Looks like it may have two sets of rims, and some neat seats. Going to be a great kit!

I saw that, myself. Great news if it really is coming. Not much in the way of options in the kit, but maybe we'll get a choice of Stock or Custom grilles. And hopefully some nifty decals.

1/25 AMT '65 Lincoln Continental Customizing Kit
stavanzer replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
In fact, it has three distributors. White Plastic, Clear Plastic & Smoked Clear Plastic. Plenty of fodder for the spares box. -
I think the Red Clear on the Rivi left sometime in the "bad old days" of the Penny Pinching 1970's. They disappeared from many AMT kits then. The 77 Ford van holds little appeal, but that could change when I see what finally ends up in the box. That happened to me on the recent '65 Lincoln Convertible. The '34 Has been mentioned a long time in the past in some context on the Round2 "Collector Model" blog. It will be nice to see it back. I'd really like to see AMT resurrect the legendary '66 Skylark kit.

Scott, grab up a Lindberg '34 or two. Nice kits, beautiful Chrome Plating, excellent molding. The Decals are mostly bland, and the Armstrong tires are lacking in detail, but it is a great kit. Consider also, that if Lindberg had not rescued the tooling, it might have gotten lost forever. I for one am Darned Glad that Lindberg was able to produce and sell me the First Car Kit I ever owned. (my Dad built it) I have about 6 of them in the stash.

Will Hobby Lobby be stocking the Dyno Don Cougar funny car?
stavanzer replied to GMP440's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
My local HL has been the at the same size for Models since it opened. About 9/10ths of an aisle. The Resets are just a changing of the planogram on what kits are stocked in what slots on the shelf. Should be fun, although most of the May R2 kits are already on the shelf. June should be a fun month. -
Aaaaaand, No!

Randy. Preach it, Brother! You are SO right. I've seen similar stories with Drag Racing cars. Raced on Friday Qualifying with the "Good, New" body. Crashed on second run of day. Ran in Finals on Saturday with back-up body, hurriedly trucked in from L.A. overnight. Came in third place on Sunday still running back up body. Stuff happens, and the 'posed' pre-race and post race photos of the same car can show variations in both markings and build details.

Nice Build. It looks used, but not abused.
