  1. Anybody have photos of what was in the "Stevens International" kit?
  2. I've got a Glue-Bomb of that Woodie. I'd like to get another. Is it rare now?
  3. I just hope Round2 has invested in some tool repair, along with restoring some parts. I like the sound of Two Chrome trees, and I hope it will have more than 6 tires. Notice that the flyer does not mention any added old parts, so the plastic may wind up being 90% of the last Boyd version. Time will tell. But New Tires, New decals, and fresh white plastic will sell a great number of theses kits. I know I'll be in for a couple.
  4. It is a "Dog's Breakfast" of a kit. A Mish-Mash of leftover parts, odd bits and the residue of three or four different versions over the years. Many Great parts, esp on the chrome tree, but not a great kit overall, IMHO. I've read some strong critiques of the accuracy of the body shapes, and the grille and bumpers. Supposedly the bumpers are an odd mixture of '71,&'73 features, meaning they are not correct for either year. There are enough parts in the box to assemble a complete model car, but it is in no way, shape or form, an accurate replica of any real car. Racer or otherwise.
  5. Casey, I like your list. I'm in for a couple of Autocar trucks, if they were to happen. Maybe Round2 will even spring for some new or re-tooled parts for some of these kits. Oh well, it will be nice to have any of them on the list back. They'll at least get fresh decals and pad printed tires.
  6. Bated Breath = "worm on tongue"
  7. Wow, Alan! That is a Laser Sharp build. You may have just sold on this kit. All it needs is a trailer. Alan Alexis
  8. And, Just No! A pretty poor kit even by 1960's standards, and recently available too. Yellow Glass, Decal Options & Pad Printed Tires...... Not enough incentive there, Kats. The Trailer? A flimsy, lightweight thing, and not very realistic. In May or June of 2018, when Hobby Lobby puts them on clearance, I'll get one. Maybe..... YMMV.
  9. This wil be a curbside, right?
  10. Curtis, I expect that the seats will be exactly the same as every other version of this tool. The grille may be new though.
  11. Aw, Dang! I avoided the '75 and '76 Kits, but this one....... I'll have to buy one. The denim does it for me.
  12. Bob F. Chuck beat me to it, but "Customer Demand" is the correct answer. Over in military modeling, Sherman Tanks, P-51 Mustangs, and Me (Bf)-109s its all the time. Each time they are advertised as "Newer", "Better", or "Improved" in some subtle way. And they sell. In great numbers. And so it continues. Auto Modeling is pretty much unique in that instead of getting new tools of old favorites, we just get re-issues of the same old tools. If we are lucky, we get a few new parts added, or "lost" parts re-tooled. I suspect that much of this is driven by cost. Multi part slide molds for one piece bodies are far more expensive than the 'flat' tools needed for most planes.
  13. I have not seen any mention of the engine. Full Detail or Curbside?
  14. I have the last re-issue. I'll need to get this one too. Thanks Again, Chris for posting this.
  15. Open It! Can't wait to see what's inside.
  16. I notice too, that there are only three of the hard plastic tires in this kit. (6 halves) At least that is all I saw. But this just moved ahead of the Revell '76 Torino on the Must Buy list, after seeing this review. Thanks, Chris.
  17. My local Hooby Looby just put these on the shelf. Looks like I'm getting one, now. Thanks, Chris. I'd really like see a side by side of the chrome trees and rear suspension parts, but I'll have the kit in my hands within a month anyways. Other might like to see how the parts differ though. Notice that both the Police Radio and the Police Flasher have stayed in the kit. Would make a nice 'undercover' stake out car, if you wanted to build it that way.
  18. Meh! I'll spend my $$$ on the '75 Datsun instead. Thanks for the preview Chris.
  19. Yep, Scott, you are one of the few. I'll get one to complete the set. What changes did Revell make other than the Wheelcovers and Single Carb set up?
  20. After looking at the instruction sheet at the Revell website, it looks like this kit can only be built one way out of the box. There are no optional parts of any kind referenced in the instructions. You only get two choices on License Plate decals, not the customary three. Given that this kit leverages off the very modular tooling of the F&F Charger, I expect to see little in the way of 'extra' parts carrying over from that kit to this one. Of course, all the shared parts, will be there, but I will guess that when side by side parts tree comparison are done the Unique F&F parts and the Unique Stock parts will be found on different trees, so that there is little carry over. That said, I really welcome this kit. I'll be very glad to have one or two of these. The F&F car has built well so far. I expect this one to be the same. Would have been really nice to get some steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps though. Maybe the Fireball Resins wheels will swap in.
  21. That will be my first Moebuis kit too, it looks like. Glad it is finally on the way.
  22. Mark, the Garwood Truck and the Dragline kit exist only as drawings. They were never produced and probably never will be. There are still reports (unconfirmed to this day) that the Garwood truck was seen as a box in a hobby shop once, but nobody from AMT has ever acknowledged it. None of the "name" kit historians have turned up any evidence of these kits being more than proposals. Since we are talking early 1970's here, it has been Forty Plus years since they were planned. Nothing, other than artwork has ever turned up for these kits. They remain an unfulfilled dream.
  23. How difficult were the doors to install? I want some, but would like to know more about them, before I commit.
  24. Perfect Colour! I like the stance too.
