This was my first car. Bought it in 1980. I was a Junior in High School. It is a 1953/53 Dodge M-43 Ambulance. Paid $800.00 for it. Weighs about 8900 lbs. 4 Speed Trans. High/Low transfer case. 2wd/4wd. In the High range only 2nd,3rd & 4th could be used on the street. 1st gear was a Granny Low, about 10 mph top speed. Despite the size of the wheels and brake drums, the actual brake shoes are smaller than a Plymouth Valiant. I sold it in 1991. -

Nope, not Software. Just Fools. You are correct about the origins of the MMtC kit. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/show-rods/amt-xr-6-27-t--ford/ https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/tv--movie/amt-my-mother-the-car/ The MMtC added a Set of 3 new Hood Parts, a Radiator, and spacer to mount it on, a Radio, an a 5 piece Gas Tank and Base, and a Trunk. Not much else is changed. Close examination of the instructions shows most of the kit is a straight carry over.

Indeed, I saw a 1/4 Miler as well.

It was a designer for Monogram, IIRC. In am article in SAE about 30 Years ago. It might be Horseapples to you Ace, but I remember the quote. It made sense to me then, as he was referring to Models designed in the 1970's. Artistic License, made a great explanation for all the Scorn heaped on the Body Shapes of the 1956-57 Chevies tooled back then. -

Well the 330 P4 is a Non-Starter for me. Too many iffy parts, and More Than I want to Bite off this time. I'm switching to the AMT '69 Ford Galaxie. Sorry, for the change. -

I have the New R2 Black Beauty kit. I won't be using the Wheels or Tires. I'm looking to get a Flat, Modren style Light Bar to fit my 2021 Bronco kit. Anybody want to trade? Cheers, Alan
