  1. Beautiful Build of one of my Favorite Cars! The Colour is Spot On, and you detailing is sharp! Good Show.
  2. Thanks, Lee. Some very recent Luft '46 videos, I've stumbled into on YouTube look to be Totally AI Generated and not very realistic.
  3. I have three Favorites. #1. The 1914 Stutz Bearcat from the TV Show "Bearcats" #2. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. #3. My Mother the Car. Fortunately all three have been done as Model Kits. I have the Stutz, and the Porter, but I've never been able to catch a good deal, on Chitty. I wish Round2 or Atlantis would re-pop that kit!!
  4. The Suburban Auto Group Commercials for the Trunk Monkey were my favorites. Here's the complete collection. The First one: And Then there are the ones with the Badger Salesman:
  5. I wish everybody a Happy & Productive New Year! You guys are the Best! Alan Alexis
  6. The '57 is out now as a custom, which means you should be able to buy the chrome tree from Round2. But if you are looking to build it in stock, not custom , the tree may not work for your build.
  7. I'd say you are correct. The Gangster Guns and other pats will be nice to have in 1/24 scale. They should be very well molded, compared to the parts in the MPC Gangbusters kits.
  8. Happy New Year to all!
  9. PM sent...
  10. And Proof that is shares a Chassis with the AMT Super Boss '65 Chevelle https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/straightline-competition/amt-super-boss-funn/?view=roll#1
  11. This seem very true to me. And, here it what was in the kit. You can clearly see that the body was bare. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/straightline-competition/amt-1958-edsel-unre/?view=roll#4
  12. So, the ICM kit is not Really a Model A Ford, It's a "GAZ A". Nothing Wrong with That, but it is a little bit of "Bait & Switch". It still looks like a decent kit, but like all ICM Car kits, it assembles in a really Odd way.....
  13. What Plane is that , Lee? I'm very familiar with most Luft '46 stuff, and I've never seen that one. Thanks, Alan
  14. Revell 1/72 F-15E kit 40% off at Hooby Looby.
  15. My Rottweiler is exactly the same way about space.
  16. Went to get a loaf of bread at the Grocery Store. I found Hot Wheels in a bin marked at 4 for $5.00. I got some. Standing at the checkout to pay for everything, I saw Candy Bars. Reese's Cups, Kit Kat, 3 Musketeers. They were marked 2 for $5.00. What kind of Crazy World is it when Hot Wheels cars are Cheaper than Candy Bars? I give up.......
  17. Sadly $55.00 sounds about right. A little bit High, Mebbe, but not by much. The Hubley Duesenberg is worth more than the kit is, IMHO.
  18. That's not a Galaxie Trailer. It's old MPC. But nice trailer
  19. Thanks! Good Look at what's in the kit.
  20. Don, what are the ratios you use on the three ingredients you listed? I'd like ti try making my own.
  21. It looks very good to me. You might try to massage that gap if you can, other wise, after all is painted, I think you'll be okay.
  22. I seriously cannot understand the Anger directed at HPI Guy. He is very clear about how he builds and why he builds. He does teach basic techniques, and constantly advises his followers to 'Not Worry about a Little Flash' and he shows masking and painting to people who may have never tried masking. He does detail paint, and his use of Sharpie/Molotow for silver/chrome trim is now moving into mainstream model building. He encourages his viewers to try to new techniques, and take more time to build models. His built kits are "quick build", OOB w/Paint. He never pretends they are anything more than that. Some folks here acknowledge that, and still have a beef with him. I just don't understand that.... It's like Formal Portrait Painters, getting bent out of shape by the guy who draws caricatures at the County Fair. Both provide a service. Both get paid, by folx who are happy with the results. (in most cases). I don't understand why so many members here have a hard time understanding that just being a member here, already puts you in the 10% of modelers who desire to advance beyond OOB. Now We welcome all skill levels here, and I never, ever see anybody dump on the the members who post build photos of less that museum quality models. I seldom even read constructive criticism. "you know, if you block sanded the body, the mold line won't show on your next build." " if you wash the body, you won't get fisheyes in your paint" "using superglue on headlight lenses, will fog them up. don't use it for anything clear." How many readers and lurkers don't know those things? How many guys might welcome an answer as to why the build they just posted doesn't look as good a something built by Steve Guthmiller or Tim Boyd, or Chariots of Fire? So, why do people feel free to Dump on Chris (aka HPI Guy)? He is still a member here, and is never given the same courtesy that anybody else who post his built models here is given. It must be because he has a YouTube Channel , thus opening him, (and every other Model Builder on You Tube) to intense public scrutiny........... I just don't get it. Would you treat a guy at your local Model Show the way you treat HPI Gut online?
  23. "The 7 P's" Prior Proper Planning Prevents P*** Poor Performance
  24. Sure is a sharp looking car, even after all these years.
