Called 4/40 Air when I was a Kid. (4 Windows Open, 40 miles an hour) -
Where can I find 1:25 scale shop tools
stavanzer replied to PHPaul's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Oh, Some of the Monogram NASCAR Kits had a few tools, and a Nifty Rollaway Toolbox in them along with a Very Nice Jack, and Gas Can. I can't find a Photo of the parts right now. -

Some Stuff is out there. Fujimi Makes several Tool & Garage sets, that while expensive are very well molded. I have a couple. https://www.modelroundup.com/category-s/187.htm?searching=Y&sort=7&cat=187&show=28&page=1 Just keep scrolling down the page. MPC & AMT include small numbers of tools in at several kits that are still readily available. 1972 Chevy Ramp Truck. https://www.modelroundup.com/1972-Chevrolet-Racer-s-Wedge-Pickup-Truck-p/mpc-r2-885.htm Boss Nova Funny Car. https://www.modelroundup.com/Boss-Nova-Funny-Car-p/amt-r2-1441.htm Any of the AMT/Round2/Lindberg 1934 Pickups. https://www.modelroundup.com/1934-Ford-Sunoco-Pickup-p/amt-r2-1289.htm 1978 Dodge Longbed Pickup. https://www.modelroundup.com/1978-Dodge-D100-Custom-Pickup-Truck-p/mpc-r2-901.htm 1960 Ranchero. https://www.modelroundup.com/product-p/amt-r2-822.htm 1968 Dodge Coronet. (either Hardtop or Convertible) https://www.modelroundup.com/1968-Dodge-Coronet-Hardtop-with-Trailer-p/mpc-r2-975.htm 1963 Chevy II Station wagon and Trailer https://www.modelroundup.com/1963-Chevy-II-Station-Wagon-with-Trailer-p/amt-r2-1201.htm The two newly tooled Garage Accessory Sets from Round2 https://www.modelroundup.com/Tip-Top-Shop-Garage-Accessory-Set-2-p/amt-r2-pp-016.htm https://www.modelroundup.com/Weekend-Wrenchin-Garage-Accessory-Set-1-p/amt-r2-pp-015.htm Small Photo Etch Hand tool set. https://www.modelroundup.com/product-p/hms-31.htm and the Big Cahuna, Joe's Garage set. https://www.modelroundup.com/Joe-s-Power-Plus-Service-Station-p/mrc-academy-15122.htm You'll notice that the prices vary some, and Joe's Garage is near the 70.00 you mentioned. But, all have a few, or lots of tools. Hope this helps. EDIT: I forgot the AMT 1953 Ford Pickup. This version with the trailer gets you an Xtra Trailer! https://www.modelroundup.com/Gulf-1953-Ford-Pickup-Modified-Stocker-Hauler-p/amt-r2-1310.htm -
That's rotten. I'm sorry that it happened. Wish you were closer, I have at least 2 extra Flat screen TV's I'd give you.

I had a Job Interview at 3pm this afternoon. They called me at 12:30 to tell me that they had already filled the job. 2.5 hrs before the interview they called? Is this a 'thing' now? Who does this? I had a ride set up, suit pressed, everything... I'm not happy!

What did you see on the road today?
stavanzer replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Dang. That thing looks like a 4x4! He needs to seriously lower the suspension. These extreme Lifted Trucks look so silly!! (sarc) -
Glad to have you here, German. This is a Great Place to learn, share, and build models.
-
I'll be watching this build. It looks good so far.

I just bought a can of Testors Extreme Lacquer in a Teal Colour on clearance at JoAnn's. I found this thread, but it never answers my question. Do I need Primer under this, or can I paint bare plastic with it?

Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 steamed through my town today...

Great Photo, Michael. It makes great wallpaper. Did You take it? -
Yes, I see this more and more, here in California. It's like people have forgotten how to drive. (or never learned.....)

I'm sorry to hear about his health issues. I hope he heals soon. Thanks for sharing. -
Laser Sharp Build! I really like the colours you chose, and the de-chroming works well. The Fog Lights are an inspired touch, and the paint on the engine is very well done. The complete package works well. Good Show.

I think we have the sluggish forum problems solved

Thank You, Dave! -
I believe that is sound reasoning. Speaking only for myself, while I plan on getting all three kits, I cannot see myself ever wanting or needing to have more than one AWB car. The Sedans, however, I can see me wanting a couple of each. Especially if Moebius brings out a Four Door Police Version. Failing that, I'll be looking for the 3D printed four door that will eventually show up in the next few months. So, the timeline of Sales applies, at least to me.

I've got the flatbox version out in the garage. Buiilds One of Two ways. Stock-ish and Custom.

The Moebuis kits are renowned for Hood Warp/Fit Issues and troublesome Windscreen fit. NIcely Detailed kits, and I own a few, but I'd not recommend them for a first build. I'd advise the newly re-tooled AMT/Round2 1960/1963 Ford Trucks, the Evergreen AMT 1953 Ford Pickup, the AMT 1972 Chevrolet Pickup or Ramp Truck, or the Revell (ex-Monogram) 1/24 GMC/Chevolet Square Body Trucks. i think all of these have fewer assembly pitfalls, than the Moebuis kits. In the End, careful assembly of all the pickup kits currently on the market will result in an Acceptable Replica. However some may not "Fall Together", and will require some Modeling Skill to complete. (the Round2 {ex-MPC} Dodge Pickups, for example) However, by following the directions, and working carefully I have faith that you can finish a kit to your liking.

The Lincoln would be my choice, under the circumstances. If you lived in an area without snow, I'd reverse it. -
Hawker Hurricane Mk.1

Looks Great! Captures the Vibe of the Hurri, very nicely. Good Show. -
