Great Dio, Tony! I like the Figures.

I remember one line from Mary Hartman. Instead of saying "Good Morning", she said "Fair Morning". It seemed funnier then than it does now. I liked Quark! Only Thing I remember was Ficus, the Vegeton Sentient Plant. Like Spock, only a vegetable.

My roof 12 years ago (1,895 sq.ft.) ran $9500.00 for composition shingles. My daughter's house across the street (1,550 sq. ft.) was $12,000.00 3 years ago, same shingles. The Joys of living in California, and having a roof put on during COVID. Glad your estimate is reasonable.

A One Gallon, Ziplok Bag of Chrome Trees and other parts. I'm sorting my stash, and I've been looking at the same old parts. So, I'll pack a bag full of extra stuff. (Chrome, maybe some wheels and tires) and send it to you. The deal is, I want a bag of stuff from you. I have no pics as I'm not sure what will end up in the bag. I'm still sorting parts. If you want to wait and see what's in my bag before you pack one, that's fine. Cheers, Alan Alexis

Curbside models?
stavanzer replied to DoktorDuke's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My Dad had a Fischer Body Guild Rulebook from the 1950's.I guess he was interested in building cars, before I was Born. (in 1963) It was really Neat. Wish I still had it. Anyway, that is where I first saw the term. -

Curbside models?
stavanzer replied to DoktorDuke's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think the term "Styling Model" dates back to the Fischer Body Guild Contests from the 1950s-1960s. -

Ollie's strike again
stavanzer replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I wish we had an Ollie's here in California. All we have is Hobby Lobby, and they have added only 2 new kits to shelves since Thanksgiving. I really want one of those Cal Drag Combo kits. The Local R/C Hobby Shop has a Half Dozen model kits, and they do have the Cal Drag kit. For $78.99......$85.11 with sales tax. I'm not ready to spend that yet....... I wish there were some discount stores in California. -

Best paint choice for resin tires?
stavanzer replied to Monty's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
My Go to used to be Pactra Hot Rod Primer, but I use Nato Black and Ordinary Black Primer, now. Using different colours on the sidewalls and treads helps to look more realistic on Street Driven Cars & Trucks. -
I love those "Tire Repair Kits"! I could have used one, when I owned a Model T Speedster. Your collection is very sharp.

It's breathtakingly Ugly. It is sure crisp, and modern, but it has no soul or life to it. Even the Split Window Homage is 20 years too late. Great CAD Design, but otherwise Lifeless.
