  1. Wow, I just found this! I like the Modified Schwimmwagen. Nice to see one done up this way. Good Show.
  2. Great Diorama! We all know the story, but you nailed it in miniature. Good Show.
  3. Did anybody get a good shot of all the New Kits Round2 had on display, in raw plastic? I saw the 3 new ones, but I'd like to see the others. Probably just the new stuff from last time, but it's always nice to see if I missed anything. Alan
  4. Well, we know for sure that Revell is giving us Two Kits from this tooling. The Blazer, and now a Jimmy. I wonder what else (if anything) they do with it next?
  5. Awesome Save! I love that dark green paint job. Only time I ever saw one of these in the flesh, was in Okinawa, Japan at Kadena Air Base. I saw it is 1987 in a parking lot on base. It was black and had Japanese Plates. A leftover from some American, who never shipped it home. Good Show.
  6. I wonder how much demand there really is for the Astro One? I'm not sure that there really is that big a market for the kit. For those who don't know what the Astro One looks like.... o https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/show-rods/amt-chevrolets-expe/?view=roll#1
  7. Carl, the PPP Wheels and tires are somewhat sorted for you by the name on the product. I've linked the Model Roundup page, so you can see what they offer. https://www.modelroundup.com/category-s/129.htm?searching=Y&sort=7&cat=129&show=80&page=1 Ron Coon Resin's also does great tires/rims. I emailed him for advice before I ordered from him , and he was very helpful in his suggestions. Ron has many choices of Rims/Tiires to choose from so, scroll all the way down his list. https://roncoon.com/wheels-tires-2/ As far as sizes go, it's up to you in the end. If you can afford it, I'd buy two sets in different sizes and pick the one you like most, and use the other set on a different project. H.T.H. Alan
  8. A couple of things. 1. Try Hotter Water. 2. Let them sit longer. They did release in the end, so hotter water and longer soaking might help. All I can recommend.
  9. Oh, you did Indeed do it Justice! Superb replica. That's not just a model, that's a Tribute! Good Show.
  10. Chris the Revell Dune Buggy With the Purple Car on the box, has both the VW and Corvair engines in it, IIRC? That might be an easier kit to find.
  11. TMI, but....My wife wanted Tacos. She made lunch from scratch, so I said Why not? Just got back from Taco Bell. One Dozen Tacos,$23.80 with Tax. Almost $25.00 for 12 tacos. I'm done! đŸ¤¬
  12. What is the Scorpion? The Box art I saw online shows what looks like an AMT Piranha chassis and the Astro One showcar body(maybe)? I know Round2 has had the Piranha in production, recently, but the Astro One, is a new deal. I'll be very interested to see what's in the box.
  13. Wow! "Clifford, the Big Red Tanker" What a great build of a nostalgic truck. I really like the look of it, and your attention to detail. Good Show.
  14. I like it! The Tu-Tone Colours are perfect. Good Show.
  15. Glad to have you aboard , Bob! This is a great place to hang out. Alan
  16. Alberto, you absolutely nailed to look on this build! It sure reflects the hours of painstaking work you have in it! Superb Replica, as always with your builds. Good Show.
  17. Great Work, Johnny! For an "Outside your Wheelhouse" build, it sure looks good! Good Show.
  18. Great News! and you won't have to pay the Movers to pack and move your stuff!! I like how it looks, but I can't do a Two-Storey house any more. Enjoy it!
  19. A two part, First World Irk! 1. Ultrashort power cords on Small Countertop Appliances. Since the Safety-for-All folks decided that small appliances (mixers, blenders, toasters, can openers, small grills, and such-like) are at risk of causing Death and Destruction from the long cords getting tangled or causing mayhem some other way, now all the S.C.A.s have ridiculously short cords. My Small George Foreman Knock-off grille has an 11" cord. So short, I can barely Plug it in to use. The Can Opener? A generous 14" long cord. My house was built in the 1980's and "Blessedly" has huge counters. But, these new appliances can only be plugged in at a couple of outlets. Most of the outlets are on the backsplash (as is normal) but the counters are so wide, that you can barely reach to use the appliance. A minor, but continuously frustrating Irk. 2. Modren Distracted Drivers.....All of a sudden, folks (esp. in left Turn Lanes) are leaving a whole car length between cars. It really makes getting a left turn harder. I've had to wait a whole 10 seconds for a car to clear in front of me before I can turn. 10 seconds sounds like nothing, but many of our local Left Turn lanes are calibrated for on 35-40 seconds. I see it at regular lights now too, much more frequently than I used to. Folks stop 10' away from the crosswalk, and never pull forward. I see lots of drivers, stop at a light, and then look down at their phones. Some times these same drivers, then miss the light when it turns green......(argh) However, I don't see phones all the time. I think many drivers, are just worse than they used to be. Distracted, Not paying attention, or just plain old Bad Drivers. There sure seem to be more of them......
  20. But Did it remove the Lacquer undercoat?
  21. Centerlines make everything Look Better.
  22. I've got Two. The first is for any American Hotrod. The Second is for Tuners, or Hot Hatches. 1. Centerlines, Auto Drag. 2. Borbet Type "O".
  23. That '34 sure is Sweet, Ken! Thanks for Sharing it!
