  1. This! 100% This^
  2. I've ordered some resin Gladiator style grills from RMR Resins. He casts to order. I waited about 3 weeks to order mine. I'll report back when I get them.
  3. Where did you find the picture of my garage?
  4. A Tucker Sno-Cat!!! Be still my Heart! The Sno-Cat has been a grail of mine for 40 years! I wonder if he offers the Classic Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition Sno Cat, A for Able, a model 743
  5. Yep! I'll guarantee it! Heck, it is most likely already tooled anyhow, just not in these kit boxes. Eric might consider just letting the flat hood go out as an option in these kits, just to settle down the worriers.....
  6. He is correct. We are the extreme right end of the Bell Curve here. Our depth of knowledge, our sense of kit history, our collective community are all stronger than most modelers. This also shows up in the kits we want. I would love to have a kit of the '68 Plymouth Cop Car. The only thing stopping me is the budget. But, I could have one (and many other Grail Kits) by next Friday, if I start shopping on line this afternoon. All it takes is the willingness to pay the price. But, I am not the Target Market for the worlds kitmakers. I am the Target Market for Round2 & Atlantis, and they are (despite my gripes) serving me well. Justin Porter is on the Front Lines of this Hobby, observing daily what works and what doesn't. I love it when people tell him what "Should Sell" vs his real time experience with what his customers are actually purchasing. It's as if his Sales are an affront to all the Johan Fan Boys here on the forum. I especially like the faint, "Well his customers are the wrong kind, buying the wrong kits" Vibe that shows through in a few past comments over the years. As if, they should like what many of us here like...... We complain here sometimes about Hobby Lobby, and the slow introduction of new kits, yet H.L. seems to keep selling out of all the same kits that we here tend to find boring. Somebody is buying those kits! H.L. keeps selling out and re-stocking them. Those are the buyers that Round2 wants to keep happy. Those of us, the "Proud .05 Percenters" are catered to by Round2, but always with an eye on what will sell at the mass retail level. WE are not their primary market.
  7. I worked for BMW in the local dealership in the 1990's. I was just a line tech. A couple things I remember. Having to drop the entire one piece exhaust system, from Exhaust Manifold to Tailpipe Tips, the whole welded bit, in order to service something on the engine. A Service Item....Drop the that whole system! And, hiding the Oil Filter. BMW Engineers appear to take great Joy in finding ever stranger places to hide the oil filter. I would not have been surprised to find the oil filter under the back seat cushion, or in the glove compartment! My Mentor and I joked that for every new Model of BMW, the design department awarded a "Two Week All Expense Paid Vacation" to the engineer who found the best (worst) place to hide the Oil Filter on the new car. I hated working on them, compared to the reasonable Honda/Acura.
  8. Made it to the Model Club Meeting today. Sold 3 decal sheets for 15.00. Bought two kits for 10.00. Net profit, 5.00. I got 2 Monogram kits. The '70 Heavy Chevy Chevell, and the '69 Shelby Mustang. Both are complete, and ready to go. Model Club Meeting was good, although I was an hour late due to family issues. Still nice to be there.
  9. A Classic Bronco, done in the Modren Idiom. Very Well Done! I like the Green Colour, and the Huge Tires. Good Show.
  10. The '61 Falcon Ranchero, has a few tools and a Pair of Round Gas Cans. The '64 Ford Mod Stock kit has a Pair of those same Gas Cans. The ex-MPC '78 Dodge has a few tools, and the '72 Chevy Rollback has a whole sprue of tools, including a small Vise. And Round2 Has two relatively new Garage W/ Tools kits that have lots of larger Tools.
  11. Note a bet I would feel safe making! As badly as I want the '68 Plymouth, that Aoshima kit will outsell it walking away. And I say that having owned and built many Johan kits. They were nice, but seldom Spectacular (with a couple exceptions, {Turbine Car, Cough,Cough}). Justin is correct. Johan is not coming back. May not be dead, but not coming back either. Niche Products for a Niche Audience.
  12. I just thought it was odd to see the '63 Impala since I bought it at HL about 6 or 7 years ago. It was like seeing a Ghost.
  13. Thanks, Pete. I was not aware of the all the varieties of 'acetate' that are out there. Much Help.
  14. Bill, I nominate you to build the Goat Hoose, Mk I or Mk II. Either with or without the optional V-7 engine. You can use the either the Cragar or Keystone rims, just like the first 33 Production Cars used.
  15. The AMT Pulling Tractor has some tools too.
  16. And, if not a spoon, at least blast the bottom of the paint stand you have the body mounted to.
  17. I agree with you. I don't know what I'll do when I have to replace my cars.
  18. I am so sorry to read about the damage to your foot. If you had a Boxster, you must have really enjoyed driving it.
  19. Any Updates on Jamie? Tough to be losing your hands.
  20. What a Great little car. I like the colour. Good Show.
  21. Well, I do like the work! Your Craftsmanship is superb!
  22. No. NO, I have not.... Thanks for sharing though.
