What a great melding of two wildly different cars! The Colour is Spot On, and the craftsmanship is awesome! Good Show.
  2. He does very neat videos, but his research is not always trustworthy. He is prone to repeating Errors from the Internet, without doing more in depth checking. But, they ARE fun to watch.
  3. I find Estate Sales to be good hunting places, but more for Tools, than model kits. But as others have said, it is a Hit or Miss thing. I'll go to a half dozen Estate Sales, and see nothing, and then I get a hit. That said, When I have found kits it's usually a whole bunch, of really old kits, or One or Two kits. There seems to be no in between. And, in North America, the single most common kit found at Garage Sales or others, is the 1990's Revell 1/72 SR-71 kit. I have passed over a couple of dozen of those.
  4. Notice the extreme tread on the right side tire, and the almost flat, torn tire on the left side. The left tire could be the original from 1911.
  5. This about correct. The New headlights have replaceable bulbs, but the question of "HOW" do you replace the bulb, and "CAN" you replace the bulb, no longer have good answers. Very few things are "Owner serviceable" any more, and we are moving closer to sealed hoods, and factory service being your "Only" options. Which begs the Question. Who really owns your car? You or the Manufacturer? Cars eventually will be another subscription service, a model that has already been rolled out on some High End Cars. (Mercedes, BMW, Audi) Aka: Monthly subscription for Seat Heaters!!!
  6. Rained last night, heating back up now, warmer tomorrow. Mid to Hi 70's (F)
  7. I used to love driving a stick shift. But, about 10 years ago, my Knees had a Convention, and decided that they had had enough. 30 years of rowing the gears was enough. I was informed by them that I could drive stick or walk, but not both. My Primary Care Dr confirmed this this after some tests. So, it's been automatics, since then. And, I'm still walking reasonably well, my knees are okay, so I'm happy.
  8. Would you be able to sell just the Brush Guard/Bumper assembly from this truck? Thanks, Alan
  9. Sure Looks Sharp, Eric! I like the Green/White Paint. Good Show.
  10. Great Build! I've always wanted to build that D VII kit. I think the big Benz engine would be cool in a Rat Rot too. I should start looking for a parts Lot on eBay.
  11. Just made a trade with Nitro Marty. Trade with Confidence! Excellent Trade.
  12. Beauty of a Bus. My folks had a '62 White over Red Bus. The named it "Boo Boo, the Baby Bus" WE had it until I was 6 or 7. I still miss it.
  13. Car Modeler Magazine published some drawing and articles about 25-30 years ago in the Truckers Corner (or something close to that) about using the AMT Great Dane Flatbed to build a Heavy Haul trailer. I Think, that is what it was. But it's been 10-15 years since I looked at the issues, so I may have most of the details wrong. Revell used to make some kind of Heavy Load Trailer, too. Again, I don't remember details. Sorry I cannot be more specific. You might try posting this same question over on the "Spotlight Hobbies" Forum, and see what somebody there might know. https://board.spotlighthobbies.com/
  14. What a Beast! Love the details and colour!
  15. Awesome Build! The Gold looks 'just right'.
  16. Ismael, I've added a link to EG's thread for those that have not seen it. Just to consolidate the information about the Wasp in one place. Your Build is Jaw Dropping in it's detail and craftsmanship!
  17. Great Save on a great car! The 2 shades of Blue you chose are an excellent choice.
  18. Anybody up for a High Roller S-10, or a Lowrider Chevy Luv? I'd think a Lowrider Luv, might actually be pretty Kool. Hard to do with the parts in the kit, but Kool.
  19. Calnaga Castings does a great version as well. https://calnaga.com/blower-scoop-crower-8-port-injector
  20. I agree with your thoughts, exactly, Noel. It will be a few more years, but I see that already happening with a few resin casters. More and more will do so in the future.
  21. Here are the instructions. The engine is a Display Only piece, I think. I don't see any way to put it in the car. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/hawk/hawk-w163-mercedes-/?view=roll#1
  22. Greg, you are correct! The two Pots glue directly to the manifold.
  23. So, a Day after my last post, it's 56 this morning with a high of 77, predicted. What a change!
