  1. Last Bluesmobile version would be the stock '74 Monaco, with the best hupcaps, and sold as a Snowbird Car/Grandma Grocery Getter. The Taxi and other Light Commercial options will sell better I believe, especially a CHP Car. They were every where when I was growing up in California.
  2. I think it has been delayed, but the last I recall Steve saying was 2025, "Sometime". He seemed very enthused about the kit, so hopefully, they are just 'sweating the details'. I too, am waiting "Worm-on-Tongue" for the kit ti arrive. (Worm-on-Tongue= Baited Breath)
  3. Man, Hobby Lobby has the '34 Ford on the shelf, with the Sunoco Decals, for 40% off every other week. I'd splurge on on of those, if I wanted another '34. (and now this thread has made me want another one.....)
  4. Yeah! Who decided to paint the Tripe Hound in Yellow? Although there apparently was a Yellow painted Tripe, but we didn't know that until just recently. (Flown by Lothar Van Richthofen, the Baron's Brother. And it wasn't all Yellow) https://aviationfilm.com/articles/dr1lothar/index.shtml
  5. I use the method I used to use when I was a welder in the USAF. Measure with a micrometer, mark with soapstone, and cut with an acetylene torch. My Dad was a Machinist. He taught me the same method for cutting.
  6. I have the Bottom Boxing, from several years ago. Great Kit!
  7. Directions for the Atlantis, (ex-Monogram) kit. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/monogram-instructions/straightline-competition/monogram-mongoose-r/?view=roll#1 MPC kit on HPI Guys workshop.
  8. And, Backer rod comes in Reels. One Reel will last the average Truck builder 2 lifetimes.
  9. -Excellent Finishes on the DR 1's. I think WW1 planes were more Garish than we give them credit for. The time from 1908-1914 was a much more colourful time than we imagine, as so much of the photography was all B&W with poor reproduction, and washed out detail due the the Long Exposure time (by Today's Standards) and different processing methods. And the water colour paintings of the time are by nature, faded and dim. So the written descriptions paint a more Vibrant Picture than we associate with the era today. I think youur planes reflect this fact well! As for the Homeco Plaques, I thought my wife and I were the only ones who still collect that stuff! Good save on yours!
  10. I well remember that Clay Kemp Push Truck. I've had a box full of parts to build my own tribute to it for many years. I need to get building after seeing your build.. Magnificent Work! The Mud, is perfect. I like the exhaust too. Good Show.
  11. I want it! I'd So Drive that thing!
  12. It might just be, that in spite of Atlantis' best efforts, that the tool may be worn out. It has always had a reputation as a fiddly, fragile kit, and many builders are unable for finish it. It's never been known as an easy kit to build. There may not really be much to Adjust or Fix on the tool that will improve it much.
  13. Man, I really miss the Comic Strip, "Shoe"! One of my favorites!
  14. Thanks for posting Photos of both the Wheels, and Engines! I have a better Idea what to look for now. I'll be installing that FE 427 in one of my '34 Builds now. Thank You!
  15. About the correct ratio!
  16. I am so sorry for you. This kind of thing is extremely hurtful.Sometimes you do need to take break, and re-evaluate the whole situation and relationship. Even with family, sometimes it can be fixed, and other times No-Contact is the best thing for you to do. Good Luck.
  17. Excellent Work. You have captured the Soul of the Original Truck! Good Show.
  18. I'd say option B as well. Our Oil Patch Trucks in Kern County are not as big as yours, but some of them are pretty stout.
  19. I agree 100% on the restoring the stock wheels/tires in this kit.
  20. Great Looking Truck! Sure Captured the Zeitgeist of the Full Size Rig.
  21. I've got to get better at reading. I read "Rust-Oleum Satin Warm Camel" on the first Pass. It sounded like a real colour to me.......
  22. Some Great Techniques shown here. I'll remember them.
