  1. Are there any other Revell kits that have been molded with out Chrome Parts? Or is it just these two kits? If it is just these two kits, I'm not worried that this is a trend. Let's wait and see if any others are sold with out Chrome before it becomes too big a Thing.
  2. Fireworks. After Midnight here in California. Loud Booms still going on. Watched one Illegal Operation shoot Mortars for over 3.5 Hours!. About 11, the guy next door set off 45 minutes of Booms so loud that they set off car alarms for 20 minutes..... I'm sick of Fireworks, Sick of the Idiots who Blow them Up, and Sick of our Useless Fire Department, who makes nasty threats about "Really Cracking Down on Illegal Fireworks this year" , and once again, not following through.
  3. I watched it when it came out. My opinion? Too Much Money, not enough Brains. "Just Because you can pay to have it done, does not mean you should do it." He was what I'm beginning to call "Boomer Stupid". Guys with the financial means to make their Wildest Teenage Hotrod Fantasies come true, but not enough brains to learn how to drive, use and take care of their new Fantasy Come True Rides..... There seem to be more out there every day, and many show off on YouTube to document how ***** they really are.
  4. Yes, I have noticed that the Regular Soft drinks do not foam as much, as the sugar free kind. As for drinking them, I drink 8-12 cans a week. I also drink Crystal Light (or the store brand equivalent) in huge quantities during the summer. AS in 1 or 2 gallons a day. I have an almost Bottomless Thirst, and drink a lot of water.
  5. Great Trade with Chryslerjunkandstuff!
  6. Henry Used Chrome-Vanadium Steel for Good Reasons. He Over-Built his cars, knowing the roads and conditions they would be used in.
  7. Wow, Kit! A tour-de-force!
  8. By Far my favorite is the Jowett Jupiter. 1950-1954. Water Cooled Flat Four, Just under 1500 cc. Won it's class LeMans in 1950. I missed getting one when I was 18. I've always pined for one.
  9. First World Problem. Diet or Zero Sugar Soda in Cans. 12oz, can will now fill a 24-32oz cup with foam when you poor. Way, way too much carbonation. It takes longer to subside too. Root Beer was always bad for this but now almost all Diet Sodas are this way. I know. Really small irk, but now that I've shifted completely to Zero Sugar sodas, it is moving up on my list of daily annoyances.
  10. They Look Great, so your painting skills are awesome.
  11. I just read the article in the "Other Magazine" and your build is superb. I like the details you shared about the build Process. Good Show.
  12. Very Sharp, Clean Builds. You do excellent paintwork! Good Show.
  13. Has anybody bought one of these kits? If so, How do you like what is in the box?
  14. I used to buy a lot from eBay. I always had a separate credit card for purchases. That way we were protected from them getting our 'Main' account. But, that was about 10 years ago, so things may have changed. As others said, watch the vendors. If you have any doubts, you could always post a link to the auction in question to see if anybody here has dealt with the Seller. Getting Good Deals on eBay is a matter, of Patience, Timing & Luck. Back when I was buying stuff every month, and winning 18-35 auctions a month, I won about 25% of the bids I placed. So, If you are bidding on only one or two auctions, don't be surprised if you don't win them often. I'm not saying bid lots of times. I'm just saying that winning bids is a percentage game, and often the only way to substantially change the odds is to bid Higher than you may be comfortable with. So, I don't recommend bidding more than feel like you can spend. Since your past comments about your most wanted kits, seem to indicate that you really want some rare and potentially very spendy kits, patience will be your best tactic. You may bid and lose 7 or 8 times before you get the grail you want, at a price you can afford. Don't get discouraged. Play "eBay Grail Hunting" as a Video Game, rather than taking it too seriously, and you may be better off. Good Luck.
  15. Not really. There wasn't much on the Fiero that was chromed in real life. Lots of black painted trim, though. I think in this instance, it works.
  16. Third day of over 100 Deg heat. Supposed to cool down to 98 for the Fourth, and be back to 102-104 by Monday. I am running the A/C for 10-11 hours a day. 11am-10pm.
  17. You mean, That's it!!! A single build version kit with no options, with a retail near 40.00 bucks? No Alternative Wheels, or Engine parts. I did not know 1990's Mustang Cobras are That popular..... But, I'll be the first to admit that I am out of touch on some modern trends. I just don't see this moving well. Hopefully I am wrong.
  18. I know. And some of those parts are still in the kit.
  19. Looks good so far. I like the stance you have.
  20. You have a great eye for the rust damage. It looks great!
  21. You are correct, Steve. I had not looked that close until you mentioned it.
  22. Round2 Cat Bulldozer and Lowboy trailer. Huge Box! But, I need to get in touch with Round2. The Decals, are misprinted, right out of the box. Makes me sad. Also, I if there were ever two kits that don't need Chrome Plated parts, these two are them. Round2, please don't chrome the Cat Dozer parts next time out.
