A big part of my beef too.

To Follow up on Shon's comment. I'm in for buying more copies of kits I already own and have built. But at $40.00+ a copy,I need a bit of something extra to confirm the decision. I can buy second hand AMT '53 Pickups all day long at shows for $15.00-$25.00 all day long. The same is true for other tooling that has been on the shelves often. So, throw a bone besides just new decals. That little sprue of Chrome 5 Spokes is a welcome Extra. NIce to have at least 8 tires too. The Rupp Mini-bike in the '78 Dodge Pickup. The Chopper in the new Revell '29 Ford Roadster Pickup. The trailers in the '63 Chevy Wagon and the pair of '68 Mopars. Something! At least in my own Mind, I need a "Hook" to help nudge the 'Buy/Not Buy' button over. Extras help the nudge. I'm down from buying 30-35 kits a year five years ago to 8-10 per year. Higher Costs, a growing stash, and a slowing build rate have taken a toll on my buying habits. I need more and more reasons to justify a purchase to myself. New Tooling is a big draw of course, but even then I'm much more selective in what I finally decide to spend my budget on. So Steve, and the guys at Round2, nostalgia works but it is frankly beginning to wear a bit thin on certain tools. (the '53 Ford being one). Having 3 versions of the '53 Ford on the Plan-o-gram at Hobby Lobby doesn't help things. (Mod Stock Hauler, Coke Machine Truck, and standard release) uses up shelf space that could hold other kits. I'm not sure how to fix this, but evergreen tooling needs a 'boost' to open my wallet.

The V.A. (Veteran's Administration, who provides my health care) only calls once. Miss a message (and I've missed a few) and you never hear from them again. Since the V.A. is just now using 20th Century technology, they use only Landline Phones for Official Business, in most cases. So I seldom get texts from them. (Well, certain Doctors will send texts, but that's not the Drones who make most of the phone calls)

What pleased me today? Something I'm ashamed to admit. After 5 years, I've figured out how consistently check the Voice Mail on my phone. I could do it, by accident, but never when I wanted to. I've fixed that. Now I can check it when I want. Baby Steps....

I really like where this is going. I'll be watching. -
The kit is in Current production. I'd contact Revell to see if you can get a Replacement Clear Sprue.

Good Morning, Sara. I am sorry for your loss. There are many people on here who may be able to help you. A couple of hints for you. 1. If you post more photos of the collection, could you put a ruler or dollar bill next to the model so we can get sense of how big the model is? 2. A photo of the whole collection, and then photos of the individual cars will be best for getting some idea of what you have. Lastly, the model you show, looks very large and very well built! If that is your Grandfather's work, he was an Excellent Builder!

And shoo away the Cat. Tripping over a cat hurt my wife so badly that she is in pain from it 5 years later.... Edit-Ruined her right knee. It has never been the same since. Kaiser Doctor has given up on it.

The Revell Highway Pioneers are the Old Gowland & Gowland kits.
-
I want the decals from the Baja Patrol Pickup, but unless Round2 offers some extra parts in addition to the decals, I'll pass on the '53 Ford F100. I just got the Mod Stock Hauler kits, so I'm good on the '53 for now. I had wanted one when it was first announced, but things have changed. Nothing else on the list is a must have for me right now.
-
Any new Kits to add to the list? Thanks.

Those kits remind me of the Gowland & Gowland kits. I wonder if the Gowland guys had seen the Les Teuf Teuf kits, before they did their kits. The Time lines are really fuzzy, although one of the Model Magazines did a fairly in-depth look at the Gowland & Gowland kits many years ago.

What did you see on the road today?

Gah, the '32 has the worst looking rims/tires. Some Looks are just wrong! The Tire package on the '32 is one of them. 60 years of Styling is just too far to jump, IMHO! -

I saw Four Classics for sale at the Local Dodge Dealership. 1950 Dodge Pickup. Rough Paint, but tagged and Running. Looks better in pics than when I saw it. Outside on the Lot https://www.haddaddodge.net/inventory/used-1950-dodge-12-ton-short-bed-00000000082185112/ 1978 Dodge Li'l Red Express. Really Rough Condition. Tagged and Running, but needs a total cosmetic restoration. The Bed slats and Wood tailgate panels are very badly weathered. The truck looks much worse in person than it does here. Outside on the Lot. https://www.haddaddodge.net/inventory/used-1978-dodge-100-0000d13bs8j514348/ 1963 Plymouth Signet Convertible. Nicest of the three cars, but not great. Tagged and running. Outside on the lot. https://www.haddaddodge.net/inventory/used-1963-plymouth-signet-convertible-00000001432606953/ 1964 Dodge 330 Super Stock Tribute. Best looking of the bunch, inside on the showroom floor. I'm not much of a judge but 132K seems a bit rich for this car. I'd say 100-110K is more about what I saw there. https://www.haddaddodge.net/inventory/used-1964-dodge-330-super-stock-tribute-472ci-race-hemi-4142102566 -

Very Neat! Some Fine Kit Bashing/Scratch Building going on here! I like the stance. -
1953 Ford F100 done my way

Excellent Work on that truck. Looks like something you'd see in the Parking lot of the March Meets, or at the Sonic Drive-in on their Friday afternoon Car Show. The paint is especially nice. -
That Ferrari looks really great! Fake or not, you don't see many of them on the road. Are the Wheels no good, or is it just the Rubber? And, at least you can buy a Monogram kit to get you close to a Replica of yours. I'm looking at having to put new tires on my '14 Sienna Van, soon.
