  1. Every Build idea has a backstory. Some of my Backstories are more complicated than my building skills, but every kits has an explanation for why it was built. (or started)
  2. The Exhaust Manifolds on all of my MOPARs were a dark, rusty brown.
  3. Ah, a content issue. For a kit with this much advance Buzz, I'd have hoped for better, but it happens. Thanks for the clarification.
  4. Thanks, Anthony, for the stripe info. The few Novas of that vintage I remember were clapped out, faded Daily Drivers, with bare steel rims, torn upholstery, and chalky faded paint. I still see a couple of them here in Bakersfield, but our relentless sun, and high heat, just kill older cars, appearance wise. Add in GM's So-So quality for Dash Materials, Seats and Paint, and most old GM cars look poorly after a very few years.
  5. Just as a Comparison, here is the build video of the Surf Shark kit. Easy to see what has been added and changed from Surf Shark to stock '59 Ambulance.
  6. Nice to see the Bronco Half-Cab by itself. That Bronco is a sweet kit. Too bad there is Zero Chance of Revell tooling up the Roadster style Step through doors, like the ones Olsen's offered before they went down. Too many mold changes needed to make it practical for Revell. But, they make for a neat looking Bronco.
  7. Mark. Ever Find the Molds for this scoop? Looks like there is still a market for them. Maybe a 3D print?
  8. You are quite correct. I was wrong. My quik look at the pics I saw, totally overlooked the Distributor placement! Happy to be proven wrong in this case. It does mean that the kit engine is not accurate for a "Li'l Red Wagon" but that has not stopped anybody before. Thanks for correcting me.
  9. Got mine on order! I can't wait to get it in my hands. My '73 Dodge 3/4 Ton, Longbed, Camper Special, had a 400 Engine. Pics online show that the 360 and 400 look very similar in outward appearance. Other than the Odd, Chrome Air Cleaner in the kit, the engine is generic enough to pass for just about any MOPAR Non-Hemi V-8 of the Early to Late 1970's.
  10. Thanks for sharing the reply from them. A vague answer to still an answer, and shows that the project is still active. We've waited this long, we can wait some more.
  11. How are the decals sub-par? Content? Actual Quality of application? I've heard a couple complaints that the decals in the new Ford Pickups are stiff and hard to apply. Is this happening with the Mach Won Decals? Or are they just lack luster in content? I'm curious. Alan
  12. I suspect that a 1948 Tucker would have more sales interest than the Powell. BUt, it would have been a quaint Kit, and fun for a certain market segment.
  13. I said: #1, Nothing from Okey on the Powell, #2 Nothing from Atomic City, #3 & Nothing from Anybody Else. Three Different Subjects. I did not confuse anything with anything else. No, I do not expect that. What I do expect, is exactly what seems to be happening. A Model Company (this time it is Revell) announces a New Product with a Pop Culture TV/Movie tie-in, just it time for that Pop Cultural Phenomena to be winding down or over. There is a 5th (and Final) Season supposedly coming in 2025, almost three years after Season 4. Not a great look for an audience that has a short attention span. I applaud Revell for recognizing the property and how it could drive sales. But I think they are outside the OODA Loop on this project. I really hope I am wrong. I want that '85 Blazer! I remember buying "Dune" kits on clearance for several years after the movie vanished. I will admit I am hard on Revell. You mention 13 kits? Were they all cars? How long did it take Round 2 to release 13 kits in 2023? Seems that there is a big market for the "xyz 60's kits) you mentioned. And now the "Back in the Old Days" commentary... It does not work when there are comments, about the price of kits, and how cheap they were 10/20/30/40/50 years ago. It also does not work when we compare the distribution of information 25 years into the 21st century...... Modern Systems are driving new pathways for the release on knowledge. You might not like it. Heck, I might not like it. Nonetheless, it IS how things work now. So, I expect that the companies trying to do business in today's environment adapt to how things work now, and not use 30 year old business communication tactics. Round2 seems to have a much better grasp of this business reality than Revell does. Witness Chad, and the Monthly Round Up of Products. I am sure that this monthly video, is driving sales, and not just in America. Nothing is stopping Revell (or others) from doing the same thing. But Revell's outreach is not as dynamic as Round2, not as frequent or informative. So you ask what I expect. That is what I expect. Something more geared to the world we live in today.
  14. Thank You for the Update, Steve. Nice to get straight dope, directly from the source.
  15. Amen. I'm trying to move in this direction myself, Steve. Coming from a builder of your calibre this is timely & thoughtful advice.
  16. Vic, I was in an around Gilbert at that time. I had a CJ-5 and was all over the Valley.
  17. A great Little Build. Good on you you for pushing through and getting it finished.
  18. No Telling about the Figs. But, it is early Tamiya, so scale issues come up often.
  19. Not Quite On Topic, but too beautiful not to share.
  20. Beautiful Build!
  21. Lookin' Good! I like the Stripes on the seats!
  22. Nice Build. Is the Wrecker Bed a modification of the Kits Bed sides with other parts added to it? I like the look of it.
  23. I'm sorry about the wreck too. It does looks pretty cool to me though.
