  1. Amen. I'm trying to move in this direction myself, Steve. Coming from a builder of your calibre this is timely & thoughtful advice.
  2. Vic, I was in an around Gilbert at that time. I had a CJ-5 and was all over the Valley.
  3. A great Little Build. Good on you you for pushing through and getting it finished.
  4. No Telling about the Figs. But, it is early Tamiya, so scale issues come up often.
  5. Not Quite On Topic, but too beautiful not to share.
  6. Beautiful Build!
  7. Lookin' Good! I like the Stripes on the seats!
  8. Nice Build. Is the Wrecker Bed a modification of the Kits Bed sides with other parts added to it? I like the look of it.
  9. I'm sorry about the wreck too. It does looks pretty cool to me though.
  10. I like It! It looks better every time I see it.
  11. And, pics of the Wrecker are out now, too.
  12. Kid, have you ever found any pics of the Forty Niner Ford? I'm just curious, as I had never heard of it.
  13. So, 2 months later. Nothing from Okey on the Powell, Nothing From Atomic City & Nothing from Anybody else. It looks like all of this was just Vaporware. Moebius is still producing things (albeit much more slowly than the market wants), Round2 is still showing new things and seems to have finally gotten the shipping delays for the new stuff ironed out and Atlantis may have some new Jim Keeler inspired Hot Rod kits out before 2025. We wait for Revell to share any details about the "Stranger Things" kits, but by the time Revell gets around to actually releasing any kits, the show will be over, and the 'buzz' they hoped to profit from will be over. Typical of most Model Companies over the last 50 years. So far, at least, Round2 stands Head & Shoulders above the others, just by having some new kits promised every month, even is shipping dates get a bit extended. Whoever (or Whatever) is running (or ruining) Revell now, seems to be firmly stuck in the 1990's, so the company moves awfully slowly, by modern standards. I think they are leaving an enormous amount of money on the table by not running some fairly recent tools right now. The '32 Fords {all of them} need to be in the catalogue at once. The Starsky & Hutch and the stock Torino both have vanished from H.L. and the 64-65-66 Chevy Suburban has gone away too. There are other recent tools that are probably in demand too, and the Whole '29-'30 Ford Coupe/Roadster debacle is yet another mistep for a company that his been in Deep Kimshi since the Hobbico disaster. I really hope Revell can get their Mojo back but the VC firm running things appears to have just given up on everything that is not Europe.......... Which is fine if you are in Europe. Anywau. I wish to build the Powell when it comes out. I hope the guys from Atomic City have not bitten off more than they can chew. (Maybe they have atomic ache) At least they are trusted names in the hobby. Maybe we'll see new Dodge and Chevy pickups from the companies that have teased those subjects. But, for now, if it isn't Round2, I am not holding my breath waiting for news.
  14. And here is the build.
  15. Thanks, Chuck! That explanation is clear enough now. I don't need the Photos.
  16. I play MInecraft with my Grandsons.
  17. Any Pics of what you are talking about Chuck? I'm not sure which parts you are referring to.
  18. I will plant a flag here, and bet that it will be this kit, with a new hood.
  19. Those 5 spoke wheels are in the old Revell snapper too, so no real telling what will be in the box. But, I think that kit has T-Tops. Going to be a treat to see what is really in the box.
  20. Except for the Blazer, I am guessing that all the other kits in this series are slightly re-vamped versions of existing tooling.
  21. Not so much fake, as a very specific shell, that may have been unique to time and place. I doubt that there were more than a couple hundred made, and the odds of any surviving are long. I think that it is not a very useful shape, and I don't think it lasted for long. The best place to look for ads for it would be the back section of Popular Mechanics magazine from 1958-1963.
  22. Sharp Build. Daddy-Daughter Victory! Good Show!
  23. Man! What an Awesome bit of 1970's IMSA Overkill. I'd buy a bunch of those!
