  1. Well , I hope the Dodge Truck gets many more releases. I'll buy all of them. The Baja Brute project is moving slowly, but moving. I need some decals. Does anybody have any suggestions?
  2. Seriously bad chassis plate, Revell. How to tell us you are not even trying anymore......
  3. Sad, but not surprising. 28 years is a very long time for this kind of niche business. I wish Dale much happiness.
  4. I did recently get a set of acceptable test shots and I even did a test build to confirm we have the Pro-Street version. However, it was still decided to move the tooling to another location. When and where, I don't have the answer yet, so consider its status as planned but on hold. I'm hoping it will still be a 2024 item, but the clock is ticking. -Steve This quote is from Steve G, on Feb 2nd in this thread.
  5. Crude or not, it would still be nice to have him and his partner back.
  6. After inspecting the parts in the Warlock and the '78 Dodge D-100 Long Bed kits, it looks like almost all the parts needed to bring the Baja Brute kit are still in the tool. A few manor parts (light bar, some gas caps and other small parts) are not in the chrome tree or on the plastic sprues, but most of the rest is there. Of course, there are no 1/20 scale 4x4 steel wheels and tires, but that is an easy fix. It would be nice, also, to have the Triple Carb, Six Pack intake and Air Cleaner back but that is a small deal. I'd prefer to see the older grille restored, but a 77/78 Brute can be built just by using the parts from the Warlock & Long Bed kits. I'd like to see the Baja Brute reboxed, as a new kit. Also, look at the Camper Shell in the Off Road Camper version shown in the directions. It would be really nice to see those parts return too! One of the Motorcycles from the kit has been released as a Pats Pack a while ago, so all the bits needed are out there. I'll begin building a Modern '78 Baja Brute in a few days. I am that excited about these Dodge Pickup kits. Here are the instructions, so you can see how few parts are actually different in the kits. https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/922/mpc-baja-brute-dodge-adventurer https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/mpc-instructions/1-sort/mpc-dodge-off-road-/?view=roll#1 And a Bonus, the ThunderSTruck, a nifty kit on it's own. https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/1104/mpc-0442-thunderstruck-dodge-pickup I really dig Part #76 the Grille Guard! I wish that would come back!!! Steve G and Round2, Thanks again for all the work on these Dodge Truck kits.
  7. I just got Both of the Ford Kits this weekend. I finally got a chance to open the '63. Wow! What a great job Round2 has done on this kit. The Chrome Trees, and While Plastic are superb! I cannot wait to start putting it together. The Cross Kitting possibilities are a nice bonus, too. Thanks, Steve G, John G and the rest of the Team!
  8. Those Diorama Parts would make a nice accessory in a lot of the Re-released MPC kits.
  9. I've seen a YouTube video comparing the stretchers, and the Jo-Han stretcher is too wide to fit the AMT Caddy. So, while it looks, narrow, it does fit.
  10. Yes, yes it does. I have one. The only new plastic part in the '40 Gasser kit is the much missed Hood Scoop. The '40 Gasser has two colours of clear glass, and much better decals than this new kit. And, IMHO, this box art is not all that great. It may be vintage, but that does not make it all that collectible or good. At least to me. My wallet stays firmly closed, this time around. But, I just got both Ford Pickups, the '69 Galaxie, and the new Dodge warlock, so I'm not skimping on Round2 kits. But, those 4 kits did deplete my "Fun Money" account until May.
  11. Thanks, Jesse! You answered my question.
  12. Sharp Build, Dave. Those tires are really sharp on that kit.
  13. I see an order in my future. Thanks for the steer.
  14. I agree, also! Those "Rally Sport" tires are some of the worst ever put in a kit. The fact that they got used over & over with every release of the '29 RPU/Wagon was just bad planning. I think the effort invested in a Dropped I-beam axle and split wishbones would be time and money well spent.
  15. Every Build idea has a backstory. Some of my Backstories are more complicated than my building skills, but every kits has an explanation for why it was built. (or started)
  16. The Exhaust Manifolds on all of my MOPARs were a dark, rusty brown.
  17. Ah, a content issue. For a kit with this much advance Buzz, I'd have hoped for better, but it happens. Thanks for the clarification.
  18. Thanks, Anthony, for the stripe info. The few Novas of that vintage I remember were clapped out, faded Daily Drivers, with bare steel rims, torn upholstery, and chalky faded paint. I still see a couple of them here in Bakersfield, but our relentless sun, and high heat, just kill older cars, appearance wise. Add in GM's So-So quality for Dash Materials, Seats and Paint, and most old GM cars look poorly after a very few years.
  19. Just as a Comparison, here is the build video of the Surf Shark kit. Easy to see what has been added and changed from Surf Shark to stock '59 Ambulance.
  20. Nice to see the Bronco Half-Cab by itself. That Bronco is a sweet kit. Too bad there is Zero Chance of Revell tooling up the Roadster style Step through doors, like the ones Olsen's offered before they went down. Too many mold changes needed to make it practical for Revell. But, they make for a neat looking Bronco.
  21. Mark. Ever Find the Molds for this scoop? Looks like there is still a market for them. Maybe a 3D print?
  22. You are quite correct. I was wrong. My quik look at the pics I saw, totally overlooked the Distributor placement! Happy to be proven wrong in this case. It does mean that the kit engine is not accurate for a "Li'l Red Wagon" but that has not stopped anybody before. Thanks for correcting me.
  23. Got mine on order! I can't wait to get it in my hands. My '73 Dodge 3/4 Ton, Longbed, Camper Special, had a 400 Engine. Pics online show that the 360 and 400 look very similar in outward appearance. Other than the Odd, Chrome Air Cleaner in the kit, the engine is generic enough to pass for just about any MOPAR Non-Hemi V-8 of the Early to Late 1970's.
  24. Thanks for sharing the reply from them. A vague answer to still an answer, and shows that the project is still active. We've waited this long, we can wait some more.
  25. How are the decals sub-par? Content? Actual Quality of application? I've heard a couple complaints that the decals in the new Ford Pickups are stiff and hard to apply. Is this happening with the Mach Won Decals? Or are they just lack luster in content? I'm curious. Alan
