Hey Paul, the truck looks great. I was wondering how you did the wheels. Did you cut the centers out and put them on steel wheels, or just paint the outer part of the wheels?
The narrow stripes on one side of the tires look pretty good, but the wider whitewalls on the other side are a little out of whack.
The one set of tires in the 65 Rivera are the same way, but the triple stripe tires are really nice.
I think they might get one kit early, and I just happened to get this one this time. A month or so ago I noticed a big box of stuff on the floor in the model section, and in it were the AMT 70 Chevelle, and the Old Pro Nova. They were apparently sold, and I haven't seen either one since then.
Check the Sales Shack, he has a lot of kits like this for &9.99 a lot of times.
I just checked, and he has one, factory sealed for $11.99. Older issue, but they're all the same.
I just got this kit recently, so I'll be watching this. It sure looks better in blue than that awful yellow that it's molded in.
I want to build it as the Satelite Sebring that my brother had. Anybody know of a stock hood for this car?
I was surprised to see it here, I grabbed the only one I saw. It wasn't on the shelves with the other kits, but on one of the smaller shelves in the aisle near the model section. I went in for a can of paint, but couldn't resist it. It's a nice kit, and the go kart looks cool.
They should make cars with manual trans. for teenagers. If they have one hand on the steering wheel and one on the shifter, they won't be able to work their CELL PHONE!
Use Elmers white glue, thinned with water for flocking.
I prefer embossing powder, it sticks to wet paint really good, and comes in a lot of cool colors, or you can paint it, and it looks great(not as fuzzy).
