  1. Oh, cool, I did build a fenderless channeled 37 Chevy back in 2009, nice to see another one being built!
  2. Maybe the greatest one of the big names from that era. I very rarely feel sorrow for the death of a celebrity but now I do. He has always been special to me. R.I.P!
  3. It's a Gunze Sangyo kit. A Porsche donated its gearstick too, feeling a bit more luxurious with the leather boot.... A coat of primer... On the roof too but it didn't like the primer and developed a lot of fine cracks... Could save it with some wet sanding though.....it doesn't shine too much through the paint now.
  4. I've always had a weak spot for oxblood interiors, proper and elegant, yet exclusive.
  5. Started on a Karmann Ghia build a while ago... Running a Type 4 engine from a Revell vanagon. Firebird wheels, coated with yellow and orange candy for a gold anodized look. Paint on the pan... Porsche highback buckets, I just love them.
  6. http://www.trifive.com/forums/showthread.php?s=c7fb768156f09024d6a22d9a26f50b8f&t=68162 This thread indicates that. (A fun fact is that all 60-64 RHD fullsize Fords used the 59 Edsel dash btw!)
  7. Old gluebomb with lots of missing parts that I saved, that's why the results are far from perfect. Except the missing parts, it's quite stock, just slimmed down the handlebars a bit, removed the front fender and shortened the rear. Megaphone built from a ballpoint pen.
  8. Boy what a fast build, but it probably made things easier that I started with a built up Starliner as a chassis donor, and that the Galaxie itself was such a simple kit.
  9. So close but yet so far......a shame for my sake it wasn't a bit older, or even better a Dodge Charger, I would be SOOOO happy if I could build a replica of my best friends 1975 Charger she had for her.... :/
  10. Only a mockup, but I think that the look of the full scale car is captured quite well now...
  11. Great build, looks exclusive in metallic grey.
  12. Nice build and nice backstory, thank you!
  13. Well, since I've got an 1:1 car to duplicate, I don't have many choices, lol!
  14. Of course it would be nice with some new releases instead of just repops. On the other hand, I returned to building 10 years ago, I've finished 59 kits since that and the only one I've done twice is the Hasegawa VW Van, so...... Since I've still got a whole bunch of models I've never built, I don't think that the lack of variety ever will make building boring (though you have to search for some kits on the second hand market, on the other hand, that's why repops can be great, right?)
  15. Wow, stuff like the overspray....and all the detailing........and in so many builds.......you're a master.
  16. The 1960 door panels are a bit wrong too, but hey, at least the look is a bit convincing now, I think. Since the plastic is so thin and transparent, I painted them silver on the outside..... Dashboard. I don't like white gauges, but since Ford appearantly did in 1964, that's the way they'll be. The paint may be a bit too dark and a bit too green, but a quite close match at least. A bit of orange peel but I put on three coats so I can sand it without going through, then the clear will make it glossy.
  17. Four great models are better than 40 gluebombs, right?
  18. Eyecandy all of them, so nice!
  19. All very nice builds, but I think I pick the Charger as my favourite.
  20. Dodge!
  21. Nice and very varied....
  22. Since this car has a quite rare optional extra side trim, it was of course not on the model, so I added some evergreen strip which I may file down a bit thinner later. Bought some paint that seems close enough to the original skylight blue. Will use white primer under it for the best result, I think. The Starliner bench seats doesn't have the correct pattern, but they are close enough. More true to the 1:1 car than the 4-seat XL interior anyway.
  23. Oh, lovin' the idea!
  24. Great job with all the detailing.
