Hornet?!redneckrigger replied to peteski's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars) With the announcement that Chrysler will no longer make their muscle cars after 2023, this is the face of the future, along with EV's? Not in my garage, no sir. Just bought a new truck. Have always been a GM guy, so went to look at the new Silverados. Found that GM was selling their full size 1500 crew cabs that weigh 5000 pounds with a 2.7L turbo 4 cylinder engine. Nope, sorry..................I chose the 5.3, that is rated at just 1 MPG less than the 2.7. Yup, I am an old guy that does not like change. But a 2.7, even with high torque ratings, in a 5000 pound full size truck? Again, nope.

I am currently building a couple 1/72 U-Boats....................only because my eyes can see the parts easier! That is a beautiful build!

Looking absolutely fantastic Jeff. Brings back lots of memories from painting these things when I owned my bodyshop, as well as modifying two different ones for our Boy Scout Troop. The details you are putting into this are spot on sir! Though our Troop busses were all five speeds...................drove them all over the place, to Florida and back twice and then Washington DC twice, where the clutch blew, (changed it in a parking lot!) It had been showing signs of wear so I brought a spare and all tools required..........Be Prepared! Adventures, and thank you for sharing this build, it brings back GREAT memories!

Hey Mike, hope you are doing better!

The CCM is absolutely incredible. They are the best in the industry for construction equipment. The Euclid is super scarce with only 100 having been made. Been kind of a “holy grail” for me.

Beautiful C4! These truly are underappreciated cars. They get trash talked so much by the owners of the newer more advanced cars, but seldom do the trash talkers realize/admit that without the C4, their generation cars would not be anywhere near what they are today. These cars were an unimaginable advance over everything that came before them. They were actually banned by the SCCA from Showroom Stock GT racing as they totally dominated the class, beating it's competitor the Porsche 944 Turbo 29-0 from 1985 to 1987. I have a 1995 LT-1 six speed that I bought a couple years ago. It is also Torch Red and I just turned 50K on the clock. It is a stablemate to my Mustang GT from 1991 which is also fun, but just not as much as the Vette. Enjoy your 93!!!

Gary was a superb gentleman and a great influence on our hobby. I used to spend lots of time at shows just chewing the fat with him. Condolences to his family. Godspeed my friend.

Woods can describe some of the implements of a duffer, or it can be a category of organic fibrous material, or it can be the last name of a gentleman who is just a BIT more than an inept golfer.
