  1. Gordie "Mr. Hockey" Howe died today at 88. He was the only player to play in six different decades, including one season with his two sons as his line mates in 1980, and one game with his grandson in 1997. He will be sorely missed!
  2. Looks great so far, Luis, haven't seen one of those for awhile!
  3. Good work on that one, Yuri!
  4. Nice work on that one! Don't see that many '65s built.
  5. MPC 1932 Imperial, Monogram 1931 Packard and 1934 Duesenberg have them as well.
  6. Very cool, Mike, congrats on the award!
  7. Nice work the two of you did! That color is actually pretty correct for that time period.

    eldorado.

    That is amazing work, Jeff!
  9. That's very True! I always got the idea that Ali was much more genuine than the celebrities today. Today's celebrities say and do things that their agents tell them that people want to hear, so that they become even more famous, and make even more money, and you have no idea what their real personalities are (see anyone with the name Kardashian). I never got that idea with Ali.
  10. Very nice pair of Mercs you have there!
  11. Colby, these are from when I built a totally stock Revell '49 Merc wagon, it was from the California Wheels series, didn't include a stock engine or exhaust. I took the flathead and exhaust from the AMT '49 Merc coupe as well as various other bits and pieces from the AMT kit that either weren't included in the Revell kit, or were just nicer parts. Everything went together like they were one big 2-in1 kit! Hope this helps!
  12. Ali was definitely a very polarizing figure, but one thing is for sure, we won't see another one like him, he will be missed!
  13. Looks like that will make a very nice addition to your fleet!
  14. Looks really good Steve! Have been trying to come up with a method of doing that, may try yours.
  15. Cool idea! Looks great so far.
  16. Looking very good! Kudos for not building another one of "those" '69 Chargers!
  17. You have pretty much said it all, Jon!! I have little to add to your comments, other than, very well said!
  18. Cool story to go with a great model, Tulio!
  19. 1967-69 Cougar 1958-60 Edsel 1958-59 Buick 1960-67 Comet 1968-71 Cyclone 1955-70 Chrysler 300 1961-64 Lincoln Almost any Packard Anything NOT a 1957 Chevrolet
  20. Very nice selection of recognized, but not over-done, kits he chose! Seems like most of them should build-up into a nice model without scaring him back out of the hobby!
  21. Very nice work!
  22. I am a member of the ALPCA (national license plate club), and the MLPCA (Michigan license plate club), the feds regulated the size of plates at 12" x 6" in 1956, before that they were set by each state.
  23. Seems strange that Chrysler is usually behind releases being cancelled due to licensing issues when they are the auto maker that could benefit the most from having their products, past and present, being recognized by new people!! Makes no sense to me!
  24. I've been involved in many different types of competitions over many years, there is the one constant in all of them. Some people's sense of entitlement did not end at the end of their teens!
  25. Very nice work on a subject you don't see too often!
