#208 arrived in central Indiana today. The PO treated my copy rather roughly; it looks like it got caught in the machinery somewhere along the line. Fortunately all the pages are there and readable. Lots of good stuff inside. JIM

Curving narrow styrene strips
casassa replied to NOBLNG's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
try rolling your strip around something small and round like a hobby knife handle to curl it, I find it works better to attach with super glue, start at one end and when it 's solid do another section. -

What is the date for the fall show? -
I have a resin Ventura kit from Time Machine Resin. It's pretty nice. I don't think he has a website anymore. He's an eBay seller -t.m.resin. I don't see any current listings, but it looks like he had a bunch that closed last week. JIM

Indianapolis club info
casassa replied to Vampira's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You can contact me for information on the Hoosier Model Car Association (HMCA) . My email is jcasassa@att.net. We have a monthly electronic newsletter which has meeting dates and locations plus flyers for coming show. I'd be glad to email you a copy. JIM -
I think most of the suspension bolts on those cars would be in the 3/8" to 1/2" inch range, in scale that would be about .015" to .020". Hex size for bolt heads or nuts would scale out to .023" to .026". If you're looking for real bolts I think sixe 0000 is the closest you'll find. If you're wanting only to simulate bolt heads and nuts, hex and round stock are available from Plastruct. I think someone offers photoetched bolt heads, but can't recall who. HTH JIM.

Looking for louvers
casassa replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Harry, you might want to check out www.archertransfers.com for louvers. They are resin printed on a decal sheet and come in a variety of sizes. They are not open, but with some black paint or marker they are close. JIM -
I think a Ranchero from Revell is a certainty since I purchased a JF resin kit. It seems that every time I've bought a resin body to use with a current kit the model company adds that body style to their lineup. JIM
