  1. Looks good Michelle I like the updates you did to the engine and wheels.
  2. Nice progress Jacobus.
  3. This is a cool project Mark. That badlands paint job is awesome.
  4. Last year I completely failed to get my CBR entry done. Actually, It never made it to the bench. This year I will give this and the other two community builds completed. I've pulled out this Tamiya Aston Marting kit and plan to build it mostely box stock but may add in a few extras.
  5. Thanks guys! I got a little bit more done this weekend. Managed to get the frame primed white in preparation for the metalic green paint. The engine is together waiting for paint and I did a quick mockup of the cab and sleeper.
  6. The paint looks awesome!!
  7. Nice work opening up the doors and truck Tim. Your paint work looks like a mirror. Very nice!!
  8. I think I'll join in on the fun here. I'm going to build an AMT Ford 78 4x4. I'll start a build thread under the trucks section.
  9. I've been drooling over this kit when I go to the hobby shop. Looking forward to seeing this come together Tom.
  10. I'm looking forward to seeing your build Mike.
  11. This is a great choice for a project Pat. Your making amazing progress already! I can't wait to see more. Rob
  12. I managed to get a couple of evenings in on the WS. The frame is together and thankfully straight. Mocked up with the wheels to ensure it is sitting well, and again thankfully it is. So far this kit has been nice to build!
  13. Your off to a great start Rich. Condo? Looks more like a mansion.
  14. I'm among the rest of the group who really likes this rig. Is this the same kit Revell of Germany released several years back? I'll be following along Mark.
  15. This is going to be a cool project Daniel. I've seen a couple of these out on the road and wondered if we would ever see this released in a kit. Nothing like making your own though.
  16. Great idea to convert this into the rubber duck Ben.
  17. I'm looking forward to seeing your project Jesus. I was contemplating building the superliner kit as well.
  18. I'm looking forward to seeing your build Tom. I hear you on photobucket. Rob
  19. This is going to be a great build Brian. Do you have a resin cab for this or are you going to scratch build it?
  20. This is going to be a very interesting project to follow Dan.
  21. I'm looking forward to seeing this as well Lee. I've seen these kits around but haven't bought one because I have never seen one built. Welcome to TAT 2017.
  22. After mulling around different thoughts and ideas about my TAT build this year I have finally decided to build this Italeri Western Star I have had sitting around for awhile. I'll also be adding a Fruehauf Van both to be painted in the livery of Van-Kam, a local trucking company. The decals have been order from ModelTruckin.com but I'm sure it will take a few weeks before I receive them. Not a big deal as there is lots of work I can do before I get to the decal stage. I have found some great shots online of a Western Star painted up in the Van-Kam colors but I don't want to break any rules by posting it here. Here is the kit:
  23. I started to build this kit back in the summer. It is not an easy kit to build for anyone. Lots of test fitting, filling, and sanding to get it to look right. With all of the sanding it is difficult to avoid sanding down the raised panel details. Don't get discouraged by this kit. There are so many very nice kits available that will fall into place. Put it aside and try something else which is known to be a good kit. You'll get there.
  24. Happy New Year from the West Coast of Canada!
  25. Looks good Mattix! I'll be following along.
