  1. CBS even cleaned up the song lyrics.?? had to google the song because something during the show didn't Match my memory of seeing the film in the theater so long ago.
  2. Snake... looks great! The look without the upper detail ubove the rear quarters (don't know the correct description) is nice. you know? The part you filled in ?. Like it.....I Like It Allot ? Go Go Go.....
  3. Thanx Snake and Codi I will try cutting up the Baracuda first and see how that goes. this first week of June 2020 has made it difficult to work on this. my brain is tapped out for now. And so is this project for the time being. I'll be back, you can count on that.
  4. I'll keep this in mind. the last thing I would like is to rustle too many feathers here. Low profile is my modus operandi.
  5. Thanx GoatGuy... shure has been a long and winding road hasn't it? I feel fortunate that some of my favorite modelers here have taken the time to comment on my work. Wish I was more motivated on this project and have learned some lessons on just how much research and documentation it can take to attempt a build like this rather obscure "Souza Bro's" car. I should have known better. well now it's just a vintage fantasy match race car so the pressure is off.
  6. There is also a thread on the WIP drag racing that looks as if it would be better in the Under-glass.
  7. Steve... after taking a look at your Chrysler build I'd say you get the whole 50s 60s custom vibe. complete with Winfield style paint. What ever you do should be cool ?
  8. By the time F1 comes back there may not be anyone interested. Not a fan of the current regulations or even the next ones. Just have watched for years and invested in the whole crazy circus. It is not really a relevant series by today's automotive trends.
  9. You all are making me hungry with those posts. I love to cook but trips to the grocery are a drag these days. Lately have looked in the pantry/fridge for ingredients and googled for recipe ideas by entering the stuff I have. Day before yesterday was a nice curry chicken (had most of the fixings including including Cocunut milk that I can't remember purchasing LOL) . Today for dinner a Mediterranean pasta salad with tomato, olives, Capers, chopped Mint leaves. All stuff I had on hand. Not something I would normally have, was great. Unfortunately will have to hit the grocery store tomorrow, what kind of meals do you make with what's on hand? My mother just turned 94 on Friday, we had an interesting conversation about life during WW2 Rationing. A real eye opener, she never talked about it before. Even in all this, it could be a lot worse. Now, what's for dinner!?
  10. Ha, thought it might be a hellcat, couldn't be more wrong. Nice to see some sort of live racing these days, leave it to NASCAR to lead the way. Being an F1 fan, am going crazy with all the news out of a sport that might not even have a season this year.
  11. Oh geese, can relate with the leaf blower thing. I could rake my old yard in one quarter of the time my old neighbors across the way could do it with the blower. funny watching them chase a single leaf for ever.?
  12. Hey, thanx Steve. flying toilet, now I'm cracking up ? sorry, pun. there are some neat vintage details in those pics among them is the thingy they used for the hood leash. that sure looks to be an old retractable clothesline piece.
  13. The Iwata HP-TH that I have (merely the same as Mr. Hobby) does demand a more powerful compressor. Using an Super Silent 50 here. This gun was purchased for my other hobby, RC sailboats. Have only needed it two times for that. In retrospect not the greatest investment so far. when I tackle the problems I'm having here with dust and evacuation of my Paasche booth in my new home will try it. Do have a Paasche H and an Iwata revolution BCR that has been modified with other parts. 0.5 needle, pre-set handle. These are my go to guns. for typical model painting I wonder who feels that anything smaller than an .5 needle is necessary?
  14. A big thank you to the moderators for merging my two threads? That looks like the correct manifold. The injectors are odd but could be easily fabbed/scratch built. I've got to look at my Tasca Ford '64 T Bolt kit. For some reason I can't help myself being fascinated with 427 powered cars. I think so, gunna take a look at that part tonight. Have that kit in my stash now. Norm Veber from R&M was kind enough to send me that kit in exchange for the 427 supercharger manifold master I created Along with some other nice goodies...Super nice guy! I have a file of pics of this Corvette drag car online that some may find interesting here https://public.fotki.com/kdnelsurf/corvette-project/ Let me know if you can see these, it's my fotki thingy.
  15. Lots of responses to digest here. this whole situation has left me dipping into my investment funds. that is not the smartest thing but no other avenue. It's getting tough for most of us and I'm afraid that only the big businesses /corporations will survive as usual. I am unfortunately expecting a massive economic shift. One that leans towards the top 1percent side again. My own sister who runs an Non profit (Aquability.org) google it has closed her office and forced to lay off all but one employee. Myself, can only manage a couple more months of this BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH. (some swear words =Blah-Blah-Blah) was only a minor thing they say on the Telly practicly every day.?
  16. Kinda strange with no fans in the bleachers isn't it. what is that pace car?
  17. Just found the race coverage on the Telly Not a big NASCAR fan but might be interesting
  18. Thanx Bill, Hakan, Guido. I sent an pm to a moderator about my double post issue Hopefuly will straiten out this thread. Arrrhg!
  19. Bill, Guido... thanks for the info, much appreciated. i've sent an pm to a moderator about my double post issue so hopefully can have them merged together.
  20. Discovered this band late. It was a CD of "FS Sorrow" maybe 10 years ago. Am I correct in thinking it was the first rock concept album? My memory of these things are getting fuzzy.
  21. Tom... Ive got the similar iwata HP-TH. Have only used it for clear coat 2K on RC sailboat hulls. It sure does put some paint down but is it good on 1/25th scale bodies? I've not tried that yet. Here is an oldish review of the PS-290 from a guy whom I can't vouch for.
  22. John... How do you build so fast and just how many 1/25th scale mechanics do you have employed? Incredible work that is truly inspiring.
  23. While searching around for another Altered/Gasser type build project, one with enough photo documentation this time LOL. I found this BARN find drag car ('57 Corvette). Probably raced in the late 60's early 70's. Only photos, no real info of the owner/driver etc. Lots of nice detail pics however. The only photo of it with the engine (Ford big block) yes you read that correctly. Some kind of high rise without carburetors. Can only lead me to think that is injection of some sort but have never seen anything like it before especially on this vintage. Can anyone shed some light on this oddity?
  24. Thanx JC, I've only been able to work on this sporadically, spring time out doors chores. I used milliput to form these and have gotten to like the stuff, it does take a while to get used to. and there is a nice window of time to sculpt it, sometimes best when it has set and stiffened up a bit. I have to be frugal these days so may go the FIDDLY route. I do have one of these (fairly decent but not perfect) resin teardrop castings. Won't be needing it.
