Just finished up my AMT 69 Cougar Eliminater Kit this past weekend. As you can see I " Eliminated " the hood scoop and spoilers to make a standard Cougar to replicate my oldest brothers 1:1 he had back in the early 70's, I must have been anywhere from 10 - 12 years old. On one particular trip to our Grandfathers cabin in a snow storm we soon called it the Snow Cougar due to it sliding off the highway and down an embankment and being able to drive it back up onto the highway without stopping. An event and trip that we have never forgotten. I'm hoping brother Don approves of my Snow Cougar tribute build.
Back to the model, it's painted Model Masters Phoenician Yellow laquer and this is my first ever vinyl top painted with flat black sprayed from about 2 feet for the textured look. I'm kinda looking forward to doing another vinyl top. Thanks for looking and I hope it doesn't have to many Pet Peeves!
