  1. Been following him for a while. I'm in awe of what he can do. Not something I would ever plan on spending the time to do, but I am envious of his skills.
  2. Just a thought, you could have someone print this, then do some cutting and pasting. https://3dprintable.shop/product/land-rover-defender-110-2011-printable-body-car/ Once I get comfortable with my printer, this is actually a mod I was going to try on one of my Revell LRs.
  3. Exactly this. We had a local shop called Hobby Alley. Lots of RC, but a healthy model section. I spent a lot of money there. Then one day there was a sign saying they were shutting down. Spoke with the owner, and it was the same story. The RC people would go in and ask questions, then go online and buy. Then come back for help with assembly. He got fed up and implemented a "diagnostic" fee. And of course the RC guys complained that this was no way to treat customers. He finally got fed up and shut it down. Now my nearest hobby store is located on the opposite end of the city.
  4. Well that is certainly...unique.
  5. Correct! The lack of new inventory means used car prices are nuts. We have three year old lease returns coming back, and we're giving clients what they paid when the vehicle was new. It is an excellent time to be selling a vehicle. Horrible time to be buying one. Unless you're buying from me, then it's excellent. Nope. It's more of a future allocation thing. In the normal times, we'll sell to anyone, anywhere. Which is what most dealers would do. Now, with the limited inventory, we are choosing to only sell within our local market. We only get so many vehicles, so we want to keep them here.
  6. I'm in the industry, and these are crazy times. A lot of dealerships are making mandatory business office upgrades like you've described. Some dealers are just outright charging a fee above MSRP. Manufacturers have cancelled almost all retail programs. The dealership I'm at now has a few rules on the Bronco and Super Duty trucks. Full MSRP, no discounts. Must be financed or have a maintenance/warranty plan added. Export agreement must be signed. And must be sold to a client in our region. I've been in the auto industry for 30 years, and this is the weirdest I've seen it in terms of supply.
  7. That red Jota is fantastic. Some of the other cars here...not so much. To each their own I guess. And if you're so inclined, you could 3D print one for yourself. I might do this one myself.
  8. I've bene thinking about grabbing one of these monster truck kits too. Not really my thing, but I like pickups, and it's something different. Built a bunch back of these kits back in the 80s when monster trucks were all the rage. I was even in the Bigfoot Fan Club.
  9. Looks good. If not 3D printed, how did you make these?
  10. Excellent build! The perfect colour choices for this car.
  11. Turned out really nice. Not a colour choice I would have associated with this car, but I like it.
  12. Body turned out fantastic. Hoping the decals on mine hold up as well as yours.
  13. Excellent work!
  14. I'd get in on 2022. And wouldn't bother doing any experimenting, which is why my 2021 entry has languished. Had some significant paint problems, and thus...not finished.
  15. And people said the original Porsche Cayenne looked like a catfish. The Porsche has nothing on this Lincoln.
  16. You're exactly right. Key point being "in this part of the world." You do know that this forum's membership is international in scope, right? Just because a word means one thing here, doesn't mean that it's the same elsewhere in the world. In England, the infamous C-word is a somewhat regularly used word, also used to describe an idiot or a moron. How about we start using that one here, because "Nobody in this part of the world uses this term basically AT ALL!" If following some simple rules is enough to cause people to leave, then I'd agree with their assessment and say that this isn't the right place for them. And to those people I say, this isn't an airport, no need to announce your departure.
  17. My "most wanted" list has been pretty static for years now. 1992 Porsche 964 RS. Maritime Blue would be perfect, but any colour works, the louder the better! 1991-1993 Chev C1500 454SS - I don't care what year, or what colour it is. And I have wanted a big old 70s station wagon for ages. Ford, Plymouth, whatever. Fake wood? Bring it on.
  18. I like pretty much all Christmas music. Except for the Charlie Brown stuff. That Vince Guaraldi stuff, that Snoopy Red Baron song, just ugh. The Band Aid tune is pretty awesome. That's prob my fav Christmas song. Twisted Sister's A Twisted Christmas is great. John Denver & The Muppets of course. Bill Idol actually just released an excellent Christmas album that is NOT what you expect from him. It doesn't rock at all! Trans Siberian Orchestra is fantastic. And if you like them, listen to The Wizards of Winter.
  19. I think I'll get in on this. Need to see what's out there for 1973.
  20. Took the plunge, wanted to try this out. Time to practice and make some wheels and stuff!
  21. Some must haves for us: Christmas Vacation Muppet Family Christmas A Very Muppet Christmas Muppet Christmas Carol. Christmas Eve on Sesame Street It's a Wonderful Life Miracle on 34St. Elf Trailer Park Boys Christmas Mr Bean Christmas A Black Adder Christmas Carol (or whatever it's called) And yes, I'm a huge Muppets fan.
  22. Not my fav generation of F150, but I do like these trucks. I know, it's not a SuperCrew. But we can't discuss this generation F150 without mentioning this.
  23. Looking good! Will have to be careful with the decals on mine.
  24. This one jumped out at me. Definitely the way to go. As an aside, I rarely use the four wheel drive on my trucks. And we're neighbours.
  25. I too have this in my stash. Definitely following along to see what other areas you find that need some fixing.
