  1. Kit is definitely 1/24 scale, and is not at all like the AMT kits. I have just started building this one, so can let you know how good or bad it is. So far, the quality appears to be far superior. Detail on the interior panels and engine parts is really good. No flash whatsoever on the parts trees.
  2. Wait...Coke removes kit chrome?! How long do you have to let them sit? I'd much rather use that than the Castrol Super Clean I use now. Love what you're doing with this one. Your little touches will really set this one apart from the rest!
  3. Awesome colour scheme! I did a Porsche 993 in the same colours a few years ago. Yours is much better than the box art!
  4. Wow, disappointing for sure, but I can't say I'm surprised. I am surprised though that they aren't bothering with a purely digital format.
  5. Unfortunately, the only time I've had a shipping issue was with a member here. The kit arrived wrapped in paper towel, put in a plastic bag, then completely wrapped in shipping tape. Somehow there was no damage. I've had no issues with vendors, especially ones from Japan.
  6. Should turn this into the offical "doing it wrong" thread. A safe place for all of the auto atrocities.
  7. There's another Jeff Goldblum quote from that movie that is entirely appropriate here.
  8. I've always been a fan of Miatas. But being 6'6" kinds of takes that car out of ownership contention for me!
  9. Using standard settings on the camera? Made any tweaks there?
  10. As I've come to expect from you, an amazing looking build. I think something that you do better than most is your photography. The lighting is excellent. Care to post up a pic of your "photobooth?"
  11. These things drive me nuts. I think I would make a good continuity expert on movie sets. A more recent one I noticed was in the Netflix movie, 6 Underground. There is a very cool Alfa Romeo Guilia Quadrifoglio with a McLaren Green wrap and a bunch of other mods. Including the ability to grow new mirrors and heal scratches. In the car chase (which is unusually long) it must have had at least 8 mirrors.
  12. Big fan of Ant for sure. Although for car restoration shows, I prefer Car SOS.
  13. I am super excited to see F1 back this weekend!
  14. Hope all of my fellow Canadians are enjoying your day off today! I made sure my french toast this morning had extra maple syrup.
  15. Working on the plumbing now. Pretty sure the supplied tubing is technically out of scale, but that's fine. The chain that came with the kit is conveniently in a knotted up ball, so that will be a fun project to untangle that.
  16. I find it amusing that this car is still a part of Tamiya's "1/24 sports car series." Another stunning paintjob.
  17. Interesting. Confused me at first though, because the USS Hornet I'm familiar with is currently a museum in Alameda. Why do navies re-use ship names?
  18. Brazil is wild. Chevrolet Veraneio Chevrolet Bonanza Chevrolet D20 1972 Chev C10
  19. Just doing the final details on the trailer, and this one will finally be done! First time I've actually finished a BRBO or Community build. Ever.
  20. Head on down to Brazil! Quite common apparently. They have a number of weird Ford trucks. T1000 F1000 Turbo anyone?
  21. Nope. Nope. Nope. Putting a stop to this one.
  22. Big news! The cab is done! But I'm not showing the full pics until the trailer is done. Speaking of which... I've got a good start on the trailer. Should have this thing wrapped up before the end of the month.
  23. If you have Instagram, follow Cool Craigslist Cars. He posts a ton of interesting Craigslist content.
