  1. For bass amp, try the Ampeg mini-stack. It has a cabinet with two 10" speakers, plus a 100 watt head. I found a slightly used one on Kijiji last summer for my son. It is pretty good. Nice tight sound, but can thump, and has the power to keep up to my Peavey 5150 guitar amp. https://ampeg.com/products/classic/microcl/
  2. For just a solid, all around great instrument that will not cost you ton of bucks, you cannot go wrong with the Made in Mexico Fenders. https://shop.fender.com/en/intl/electric-basses/precision-bass/player-precision-bass-left-handed/0149823500.html Although the components used maybe aren't quite as good as their US built counterparts, they are solid. I've had a MIM Telecaster sincer 1996, and it is fantastic. And when I bought it, half the price of the American one. They play just as well as the US ones, the finish quality is just as good as the US ones, the tone and sound is 4/5 the US one. Not enough to justify the cost of the US. Not in my mind anyway.
  3. I'm building this one right now, so did some internet research. One of two built. Olds built one as a concept, then an owner with connections asked Olds to build him one. SO they did! https://theautopologist.com/2018/12/08/power-of-the-dark-side-angelo-valentis-1985-oldsmobile-fe3-x/
  4. Exactly. Get rid of the drama and over the top characters, and most would tune right out.
  5. Ugh, if there's one show I cannot stand, it's Street Outlaws. The characters are too loudmouth for my tastes. And everything turns into an argument or a fight. It's worse than Pinks. Too much drama for me.
  6. Excellent work! Your paint is fantastic, and the wood bed looks great.
  7. What's funny is that everything thinks it's this happy pop song, but when you listen to the lyrics, it's pretty dark.
  8. A lot of people know the original... I much prefer the cover by 3Teeth.
  9. Pretty close to my fav colour for the Miatas! Nice build.
  10. lolz. What's funny is that I have had bottles of these on my desk for at least 5 years now. Use them all the time. People are like, "why do you have hand sanitizer on your desk?" My response has always been the same, "Because you people are gross."
  11. This arrived today, all the way from Norway! Pretty happy about this one, have been looking for a reasonably priced one for a long time.
  12. Looking good so far! Back in the day, one of my bosses had a long box S10 in the same colours.
  13. Well then. Turns out I have nothing here right now with a 6.4L engine. Should have shortly. Will post up pics as soon as I can.
  14. Looks good. Should ask the builder to join so he can post his own builds. I'm still not sure why you feel the need to post things you haven't built. I mean, we can all do random google searches and post the awesome things we find, but that's not the intention of this forum.
  15. I noticed the single lug wheels too. Thought the wheel design was an interesting departure for NASCAR, but didn't really think much about the nuts. Is that really the format they're switching to? Spec engines from one supplier? I don't like that idea at all. Takes a significant portion of the competition out of the sport. I'd like to see a race series where stock cars are actually based on stock cars. The BTCC is a prime example, and is absolutely awesome racing. My personal fav to watch.
  16. I highly recommend Pit Bull Guitars out of Australia. https://www.pitbullguitars.com/bass-guitar-kits/ Last Christmas, we got my son the Jazz Bass kit. it went together beautifully and plays and sounds great. Shaped the headstock to look like a Fender, and added the Fender decal to the headstock. Since then, we finished the Explorer bass kit above, and two more Explorer guitar kits are on my bench. Everything you need is included, including strings, allan wrenches, and a cable. The instructions are super easy to follow and you could have the guitar built and playing within an hour of receiving the box if you wanted. And the shipping is crazy fast, less than a week from Australia to Canada.
  17. Yeah, I brought this one up a month or two ago. And I'm still just as confused now as I was then. Why anyone would manufacture this kit, let alone buy one. Ahh well, whatever floats one's boat I guess.
  18. Interesting. So they're running significantly faster with less hp? How are the new cars differing from the current cars to make that kind of difference? I'm suspecting suspension tweaks which would help get the power to the ground and keep in there. Are the new cars lighter? Is the aero that much improved? I'm seeing underbody splitters, kind of like in DTM cars. I don't know a lot about NASCAR, so am genuinely curious about the set up. Also got far more interested when you mentioned road courses, as opposed to oval tracks.
  19. Thanks Dave! I have actually bought a lot of stuff from Ivan and his team there!
  20. Any distributors in Canada yet?
  21. I've been buying and selling on eBay for a while now, and there are still deals to be had. But I have been burned twice. Once as seller, once as buyer, similar situation, yet I was burned both times. In the first, I bought a two kit lot. The kits never arrived. I opened the investigation with EBay, the tracking number showed "in transit" and never did show that the item was delivered. Three months go by, and EBay says too bad so sad, because there was a tracking number I was not entitled to a refund. So that's $130 gone. The second example, I sent a slotcar to a guy in England. Tracking number shows delivered, but he says he never got the item. EBay dispute said I have to refund him. There goes $100. I actually gave up on EBay for a while after that, but then needed some things, and had to go back. Has been fine for a couple of years now. Just know that if a transaction doesn't go perfectly for both the seller and buyer, you will most likely get screwed.
  22. 5-string?! Now that's a little different for sure! I haven't built anything yet that had a nice enough top to just stain and leave visible like that. Definitely want to try it though.
  23. It's definitely a bit of throwback! The manual transfer case is standard equipment on the Power Wagon and on the base model Tradesman. Not available at all on the Big Horn or higher trim levels. The electronic push button 4WD is available as an option on the base Tradesman model for about $200CDN. The new 75th Anniversary Edition Power Wagon comes with the push button transfer case, because it is the only Power Wagon that comes with bucket seats and floor console. As for transmission, all HD Rams with the 6.4L gas engine get the 8-speed with rotary shift knob. The diesel trucks still get the 6-speed and column shift.
  24. Hydro Blue is such a nice colour on these trucks! Excellent choice!
  25. No prob. Will get you some pics of that big 6.4L engine today.
