  1. Dos Equis beer used him as a spokesperson for a few years. There are a ton of memes based on this image.
  2. So this year, Cinco De Mayo falls on Taco Tuesday. And here we are, stuck at home because of something that shares it's name with a Mexican beer.
  3. I haven't had my hair cut since late-January, before I had surgery. By the time I was recovered enough to leave the house, the world had changed! Ah well, we're starting to open up here, and it sounds like hairdressers will be back up and running in a couple of weeks.
  4. I like it! In looking around on the internet, it looks like a lot of these have survived. Now you just need to build the matching COW version! And I see that the Tyrone Malone Papa Truck started life as a VIT 200 BiCentennial.
  5. Interesting. So when did the practice of Annual kits stop? Definitely couldn't imagine any kit manufacturer going through the cost and expense of even one annual kit these days. On a somewhat related note, what about the dealer promo kits? I know that GM were doing them until the mid-90s, as I have a number of them. Is that around when the promo kit died?
  6. ? This entire thread should just be shut down. Every single post in it could be considered political. Also, while we're at it, let's delete every post where somewhere sends thoughts and prayers or says "God bless ", because that is religious and could offend the non-religious people.
  7. In the world of high end exotic tuning, there are a couple of companies doing some questionable things. Gemballa have some awesome vehicles, with amazing performance and build quality. But some look like this. The Tornado. Took a Cayenne, made it really ugly. The Avalanche. Been around since the 80s, and when I worked for the local Porsche dealer, I got to drive one that was a strange red to maroon fade colour. And check that interior. And if anyone has the Revell model kit of the Avalanche, I am willing to trade a great many things for it!
  8. It's country rap. So it takes the two musical genres I dislike the most and melds them together. I think the part of the whole song that makes me laugh is that when it became a hit last summer, you had all these tough beer drinking, truck driving, tobacco chewing redneck men singing along and professing their love for this amazing new country/rap mash-up...and then it comes out that Lil Nas, the guy who wrote the song and sings it, is a very flamboyant gay man. That appeared to be a tough pill to swallow for the good ol boys!
  9. Some very cool stuff here. That Alfa wagon is just awesome.
  10. Not political, just making fun of the stereotypical science denying protestors and their often...colourful...outfits. Whatever, deleted it. If you want to hear some nonsense, go to youtube and look up Old Town Road. It was huge last year. A typical rap song, but featuring some twangy guitar and Billy Ray Cyrus. It's pretty awful. Those who made it huge should be punished. Having said that, I feel that way about just about every song I see on a Top 10 list, as they're always rap or pop, and I hate that stuff.
  11. Something I've seen referenced here quite a bit is an "annual" kit. I've seen them mentioned but have never heard what they are. What is an annual and what doe it signify? Is it any different than a standard kit from the same year?
  12. I'm using an old AMT 40ft trailer for my version. Close enough for my eyes.
  13. The local stores here have been open all along, but for curbside pickup only. No entering the store, no browsing.
  14. Need details on that wagon kit!
  15. Excellent work! And that interior colour is perfect for this one.
  16. Have always liked this car, and this kit is on the list. Watching for sure!
  17. Definitely the right colour for this.
  18. A cemetery is a terrible location for a convincing horror movie. It has too many plot holes. Did you hear about the giant that threw up? It's all over town.
