I've never really liked that kid's cereal. Too sugary for my tastes. And the marketing always confused me. Like when they made Trix cereal. Marketing: let's create a fun and exciting cereal. Executive: okay, let's hear it. Marketing: It's going to have fun colours, and the flavours are fruity Executive: OMG yes, we love it! Marketing: And rabbits can flip right off if they think they can have some. Anyway, I like simple cereals like Cheerios or Corn Flakes. A little skim milk, some banana or blueberries, I'm good.

Another update. Took a break from this one for a bit, but did a little more yesterday. Got the wheels on, and it's sitting perfectly level. And no axle pin issues either! Still a long way to go on this one.

It's funny you had posted this, as I was about to post almost the exact same thing. I have a bunch of my old Porsche memorabilia that I'm going to be selling, including a bunch of the Porsche 1:43 diecast that were sold through the parts departments. Most were Minichamps. For example...

In your flying dreams...have you got chemtrails? lolz ? Anyway... I don't know that I have recurring dreams per se, but in a lot dreams I have an orange guitar. Which is weird, because even though I have almost 30 guitars, none are orange, nor have I ever owned an orange guitar.

I've been homebound since Feb 14th! Had my surgery on Feb 10th, a few days in hospital, then home. February I was not really able to walk or move much, and had a doctor imposed driving ban, so I was basically self-isolated in February. My driving ban was lifted a few days before we were told to start self-isolating and keeping social distance and all that. Been getting a lot of bench time in!

Lotus Europa. Very cool, but very strange! early 70s vintage.

Music is my main hobby. Been playing guitar since I was 13 or so, so over 30 years now. Still play with some of the guys from high school. Mainly metal and hard rock, but i'll play anything that isn't country music. Currently sitting at about 20 guitars, the bulk of which are late 80s BC RIch ST-III Superstrats. LAtely though, I've been mainly playing my Jackson COW7 and my Carvin DC800. I also hotrod and build guitars. Just helped my son finish his first build, a copy of a Jazz bass. Interesting choice for a drummer, but it's what he wanted. EDIT: I figured I'd add some pics, because pics and stories are fun. Here's me in my first band. The Wrath. This was 1989. I'm the goof in the Anthrax shirt and the white pointy guitar. We had been a band for about two months, and I had been playing the guitar for maybe six months at this time. The even was The cItadel Theatre's Teen Battle of The Bands. We showed up a little late, and had no time to tune up or soundcheck. Batteries in our other guitar player's effects were toast, so he had no distortion at all. We limped our way through five songs. A couple of covers: Liar by The Sex Pistols, School's Out by Alice Cooper, and some originals. It was pretty horrible. However, we did end up on Canada's version on MTV, Much Music, which was covering the event. You could see us setting up while they focused on the band that played previously...the band that won the entire competition. I'm still friends with the other guitar player, and the bass player is my best friend, we still hang out and play all the time. Fast forward a couple of years. This was my first non-metal band. Mother May I was a lot of fun. Myself and the same bass player from above started this one. We even had some semi-pro photos taken. I'm the tall one in the back. Seemed to have worked, because it got us gigs. Made a little money with this band too. Played typical 90s rock, kind of like Collective Soul. TYpical 90s grunge fashion. Old jeans, flannel, sweaters, long sleeves, Doc Marten's on our feet. Good times. Again, bass player and I are still tight. The other guitarist (the one with the hair curtains) and I still hang out regularly, I'm sort of in touch with our bald singer, and we have all lost touch with our drummer. She was a monster player.

Thanks! There's a seperate front air dam/trim piece that goes on the bottom of the bumper. So after attaching that and waiting for it to dry, I used a little glue and little time holding things in place with tweezers to straighten out the slat.

Inspired by a current colour, quite popular on the GT2 and GT3. There is one coat of clear. A couple more would have helped with the shine for sure. Actually, the entire engine and transmission is mounted on a sub-frame, and the whole thing can be dropped out of the car in under an hour. I believe the Special Edition refers to a Japan only edition of the Boxster that came with the BBS-style mesh wheels colour matched to the car, the "Speedster" humps behind the seats...and probably some other stuff from the Porsche accessories catalog.

I don't think I ever posted this one before. Finished this one last summer. Went together well, as can be expected from a Tamiya kit. It's finished in Tamiya TS24 Purple with XF19 Sky Grey making up the interior. Added some carpet and seatbelts to this one. No engine in this kit, but that's okay with me, as you can't show off the engine on the real thing. This one reminded me that I need to mock up everything I build, as the ride height on this is unacceptable. Should have lowered iot significantly. The wheel center caps were painted, and decalled...and are somewhere on the workbench in the garage. I spent at least an hour looking for them, to no avail. I suppose they'll turn up at some point! Ah well.

Well, after a couple of years of this one kicking around the stash, and a few times trying to trade it away, I finally gave in and decided to build this. Figured it would be a nice easy kit to help me ease back in to building after surgery. It’s a pretty basic kit. It’s curbside, with minimal interior details. I didn't go crazy with this one. Actually,didn't add anything but glue and paint. Decided to do something a little different for colours; inspired by the Porsche Exclusive program. For the right amount of money, you send a colour sample, and Porsche will paint the car in that colour. For an equal amount of money, send a sample, and the leather will match your sample perfectly. I used to work for the local dealer, and we had ordered a few Exclusive cars. I wanted to build something that looked like it could have come through that program. I went with the totally adventurous and never before seen silver on the exterior. The paint is actually Tamiya's Gloss Aluminum, which is a pretty close match to Porsche's Arctic Silver. The interior is two colours, Tamiya's XF25 (Light Sea Grey) and XF23 (Light Blue.) Just like a real 964, the front bumper slats were warped, and also like the real thing, it's an easy fix. Anyway, here we are. Mirrors are a little off, but that's fine. Not my best work, but looks okay to me.

I still need to find one of these. One of the only kits of 60s subject matter I want. Need to build a replica of my dad's old 66 Comet Cyclone.
