I've always been a fan of Miatas. But being 6'6" kinds of takes that car out of ownership contention for me!

Tamiya 1/24 Mazda RX-7 FD-3S Innocent Blue Mica

As I've come to expect from you, an amazing looking build. I think something that you do better than most is your photography. The lighting is excellent. Care to post up a pic of your "photobooth?" -
T.V. car/truck goofs. Mistakes Ect....

These things drive me nuts. I think I would make a good continuity expert on movie sets. A more recent one I noticed was in the Netflix movie, 6 Underground. There is a very cool Alfa Romeo Guilia Quadrifoglio with a McLaren Green wrap and a bunch of other mods. Including the ability to grow new mirrors and heal scratches. In the car chase (which is unusually long) it must have had at least 8 mirrors. -

Big fan of Ant for sure. Although for car restoration shows, I prefer Car SOS. -

I am super excited to see F1 back this weekend! -
Hope all of my fellow Canadians are enjoying your day off today! I made sure my french toast this morning had extra maple syrup.

I find it amusing that this car is still a part of Tamiya's "1/24 sports car series." Another stunning paintjob.

International Tractor found on USS Hornet After 76 years
iamsuperdan replied to ranma's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Interesting. Confused me at first though, because the USS Hornet I'm familiar with is currently a museum in Alameda. Why do navies re-use ship names? -

Head on down to Brazil! Quite common apparently. They have a number of weird Ford trucks. T1000 F1000 Turbo anyone?

Nope. Nope. Nope. Putting a stop to this one.

If you have Instagram, follow Cool Craigslist Cars. He posts a ton of interesting Craigslist content. -
Try something from OZTent. One person, 30 second setup. No poles used for the tent, only for the awnings. I've been eyeballing their RX-5 tent. And it attaches to their foxwing awning. Pretty cool camp setup.

Not a meme or a corny joke, but there seems to be a rash of naked people in my city. This is from one of the only twitter feeds I pay attention to. YEG Police Scanner Radio. Naked people in the streets is so common, we now have the #nakededmonton hashtag trending. At least once a week, there's a new naked person doing things. It's pretty amusing.

Excellent work. Will have to look for that paint. Always nice to know of some unconventional options.

What ELSE did you build? Non auto related.

This one is a kit from Pitbull Guitars out of Australia. Excellent quality! But I still did some modifications. I shaved the neck down to get a contour that suits me better, trimmed the headstock a little. I also picked up new Dunlop pots, and got a new set of pickups up for it. Seymour Duncan Nazgul & Sentient set. The paint is all automotive. I sealed the grain with a shellac from Zinsser. Then many, many coats of primer and paint, with lots of sanding between each coat. I have a friend that has a body shop, so I've been able to use his paint booth and paint guns, which helps. This is actually Ford's Oxford White. If you're looking to do one yourself, definitely start with a kit. As I said, this is from Pitbull Guitars. I've finished one of their kits (Jazz Bass kit for my son) and have another to start. High quality components, really good fit and finish. Their electronics are actually quite good, but I replace those in almost everything I have so it's not really a reflection of the kit itself. When they have it in stock, it takes about a week to ship from Australia to Canada, which is pretty fantastic. Will be doing so for sure. Hopefully soon.
