  1. Seems slower lately. I always check it, but never see anything of interest to me. I have stuff I plan to trade, but just haven't been bothered to make a post yet. As Alan said, I suspect it's just everyone being busy doing summer things. Come September, it'll probably pick up again.
  2. If you're into 3D printing... https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/metal-air-filter-cleaner-for-hauler-tractor-truck-rc-slot-model-kit-custom-diecast https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/air-intake-rubber-elbow-cleaner-for-rc-slot-model-kit-custom-diecast Here are the source files that Kootenay 3D prints from.
  3. Went on Ebay over the weekend. First time in quite a while. When searching kits, the amount of 3d printed resellers is ridiculous. My search was easily half made of people that are buying .stl files, printing them, and then selling them. $30-40 for a set of wheels/tires? $50 for an engine? I mean, I guess there's a market for it, but wow did it make my search frustrating. Wow.
  4. Well, I'll be getting the garbage truck for sure. And I have no idea why, but I kind of want that 34 Sunoco tow truck. That's totally outside of my usual interests.
  5. Syndrome can be defined as a set of concurrent things (such as emotions or actions) that usually form an identifiable pattern.
  6. Agreed. Shouldn't have happened in the first place, but Moebius have recognized their issue and I feel they are doing everything they can to resolve it correctly. So huge props to them.
  7. Interior floor plan had a bow in it. There's a good chance it would have straightened itself after gluing the seat and other parts in, but Moebius were willing to send a replacement, so I went with that.
  8. Yup, the CVT is just fine for people that need a car, but aren't "car guys." My elderly mum has it in her Subaru Outback. It's fine. It even has those flappy paddle shifters for some reason. She's never used them.
  9. I've never understand the appeal of the Retro Box Art, and why Round2 actually puts a sticker on the box hyping it as a selling point. But at the end of the day, I really don't care what the box looks like. It's the contents that matter to me, not how the box end will look as it sits in on a shelf in the stash. I don't generally keep boxes, so the art is irrelevant. I have kits from several manufacturers that have ugly and/or goofy box art, but have a fabulous build inside. On the flipside, I have kits that look great, but were horrible to build and look at.
  10. Moebius' customer service has been excellent on this. I had a closer look, my hood and floor pan were warped. Not as bad as many others I've seen, but still not perfect. I emailed. They replied very quickly and said they had the parts in stock would send them out. Asked me to double check the ramp parts, as those were causing the most grief. I replied and said all was good, it is just the hood and floor. Replacements now on route, tracking number provided. And this is why I will always open a kit as soon as I get it. Sounds like a lot of people don't like breaking the factory seal for whatever reason. But if I finally opened it two years down the road, what are the odds of getting replacement parts then?
  11. Option 3 is still my fav, but option 5 is pretty awesome too. I printed a similar set of wheels, and most likely be putting them on a Lightning.
  12. Interesting. We have a 2006 Volvo XC90 with the 2.5T engine. It now has around 370,000km on it, and things are starting to wear out. It's just developed an oil leak, that for the life of me I can't find. It's due for an oil change anyway, so it will be at the dealer on Saturday. The only real issue we've had in all that driving is the PCV system. Or in Volvo slang, the flame trap. We've had to replace that pipe twice, and it's a big job. And a couple of years ago, the parking brake seized for some reason. Which is weird, because it has literally never been used. But, the wheels were totally locked up and we couldn't drive it. That's the only time it's seen a tow truck. Other than that, routine maintenance only. Oh, and wifey broke the fuel filler door, so I had to put a new spring/hinge in that. ? Alas, we are looking at new vehicles now. This Volvo has been awesome, so we're looking at new ones. Possibly an XC40 Recharge.
  13. Canada Post and USPS don't appear to play nicely together. My copies just arrived about a week or so ago. And I'm staff! Ahh well, at least we get them.
  14. Stunning! And the photographic is pretty dang awesome too!
  15. Very cool. Time to start working on the Duke family homestead diorama, so you can display them properly!
  16. That green Suburban is incredibly cool. Also like your pic #61. Black wagon/truck thing...I'm guessing Ford of some kind?
  17. Stanley Park! We try to get down every year. Totally worth the drive. I could have spent just as much time wandering the neighborhood streets taking pics! It was ridiculous how many awesome cars were parked on the street. Pay the $5 or whatever, get in the show, and have an even better parking spot. Plus the show would be twice as big!
  18. And the area streets were like their own little carshow. Dozens upon dozens of beautiful cars and trucks. Porsches, Ferraris, Jags, BMWs, Land cRuisers, Minis, Beetles, etc, etc. Why were these guys not in the show? At the very least, you'd have better parking spots.
  19. Quick roadtrip to Calgary yesterday to hit up the annual Euro show. Weather was perfect. Big turnout this year, couple of million dollar cars in attendance. Took a lot of pics, here are a few. Will start with the Italians. Crap. Lancia of some sort. Not sure why the pic is blurry.
