  1. Glad I got mine when I did! And I plan on getting it on the bench very soon. Finally.
  2. Although I would love to see a modern pickup release of any description, it might not be for lack of trying. Surely the Rund2s , Revells, etc of the world recognize the popularity of pickups. I have to think it has been discussed in a boardroom somewhere. It could come down to licensing costs. Having said that, Round2 currently has licensing agreements with Ram, Ford, GMC, and Chevrolet. They've released bot ha 2020 Chev Silverado diecast and a 2019 F150 diecast under the AutoWorld brand. And I have a 2017 Ram Power Wagon diecast, so I know that somewhere, someone can license Ram product. Realistically, any truck kit would have to be a crewcab shortbox, as that accounts for well over half of all new truck sales.
  3. Missed this one when you first posted it. Some excellent work there. Now do Marge's wagon! Or the Canyonero!
  4. Very 70s. Ever tried to Google the artist? Pierre Ch...something. I see art and see the thrift store story and automatically think of Antiques Roadshow. Are sitting on a goldmine? lolz
  5. I know I got my first ticket when I had my Thunderbird, so I would have been 16. Maybe 17. It was for doing 65kmh in a 50kmh zone. I thought it was a 60kmh zone. In the grand scheme of things, it was nothing, but at the time I was panicked big time over it. Thought I was in huge trouble.
  6. All three look great! I've seen a resin extended cab body that looked really accurate. Will see if I can find a link for you. I'm kind of the same way with the Chev OBS trucks. Have owned a number of them, have loved the body style since it was new, now I just acquire and build variants of them. I always seem to have one on the go.
  7. I'm not a plane guy. Haven't built a plane since junior high school. But it looks like I'm branching out. A few years ago, I picked up a Revell 747 and some aftermarket decals to build Iron Maiden's Ed Force One. Still haven't started that one. Then we found a box full of plane kits in my late father in law's garage. So I have a handful of planes there. Then I have my late dad's stash of 50 or so plane kits. But I've still never been too excited about building planes. Having said that, I've always loved the Spitfire. Just such a beautiful and elegant plane, with a fantastic history. So when I found a new, unopened 1/24 version for sale, for 1/4 of what they retail for, I couldn't turn it down.
  8. Oh man. So many shows. My favs: Metallica - Damaged Justice Tour 1988 Roger Waters - The Wall Live 2012 Pink Floyd - Division Bell 1997 Muse - 2nd Law tour 2013 Rammstein - 2011 Depeche Mode - Global Spirit Tour 2017 KMFDM - 20th Anniversary Tour 2004 Faith No More - Sol Invictus tour 2015 U2 - Pop Mart tour 1997 - had 25th row floor seats, which put us 1st row for the second stage
  9. That actually turned out really nice! Other than ride height, I don't think it needs anything changed at all.
  10. Learned to drive in my mum's 1978 Plymouth Fury Sport Suburban. That wagon was what I learned to parallel park in, which explains why I can park anything, anywhere! I learned to drive a manual after I got my first job in the auto industry as a lot attendant. 1986 VW Scirocco.
  11. I'm not huge on live albums, but I do have a few I like. Pink Floyd - Pulse Metallica - Binge & Purge Portishead - NYC Iron Maiden - Live After Death Depeche Mode - 101
  12. No worries. The original post wasn't the issue. But at some point, the thread would have exploded into nonsense. Someone would have needed a time out, then they would rant and rave about draconian measures, etc, etc. Happens every time. Best to stop it before it starts.
  13. I don't think maturity has much to do with it at this point. Religion and politics are highly contentious topics, and that was one of the first rules laid out on this board when it first started. No political threads or posts. No religious threads or posts. Period. Full stop. Too much potential for it to descend into bickering and arguing. We've all seen that happen here, and I think for the most part, no one wants to see that arguing again. Better to stop it before it gets out of hand.
  14. The rubber resin is significantly more expensive than the normal resin too. I think I'd consider buying a second resin tank specifically for the rubber resin, if I was going to try that. Looks great, but I've been pretty happy with the results I'm getting on the normal resin.
  15. Just did a test. Currently .stl files cannot be uploaded. Looking into adding that feature.
  16. That is a very good question! I'll ask our IT guru and see if that's possible. If not, will see if it could be made possible. We would need to be very cognizant of the source of the .stl file. If it's something that someone here designed, then no problem. However, we can't just start posting cool things we've picked up or found online. In the meantime, I'd try and attach a file, see what happens! Great job on the wheel holders! I'd be down for a set of those.
  17. Bought s can of Duplicolour last week. $21 CDN. We're at the point that Tamiya paint is the less expensive option!
  18. Looks good! Now you should build another, but make it the day after racing version.
  19. Turned out really nice! Haven't seen one of these built before.
  20. I've done quite a few sets of wheels/tires. Haven't taken any pics of them still on the supports though! I've had the best results printing the tires flat on the print platform, sitting on supports. Takes up more space, but I haven't had a fail yet. I did a set of tires standing upright, and they worked just fine, but took a lot more work to clean up; removing all evidence of the supports. Will get some pics tomorrow, as I will be doing some more printing. Will try and take pics of the whole process.
  21. Good looking combo! Is that melting snow in the background of your pics? Ugh. Still snowing here.
  22. Seems like many of us have taken the plunge and entered the world of 3D printing. It's been suggested we have a discussion thread, so here it is. A place to discuss printers, types of resin, sources for files, issues, awesome stuff you're doing, etc.
  23. I've been using the Elegoo water-washable, and have been happy with results. Having said that, I do have a couple of gallon jugs of 99% IPA, and will be trying some clean up with that. As Rob said above, water does a good job, but it sort of doesn't feel clean. Doesn't matter to much, because after I've done some sanding and clean up of the parts, I wash them again with warm water and some dish soap.
  24. Found this one earlier today. Still factory sealed, from a Kijiji seller I actually bought other kits from a few years ago. Kijiji is like Craigslist, but Canadian. Eh. Dude thought it was a curbside, which is why he wanted to sell it. $20 CDN.
  25. Heck yeah! I've been using my Elegoo for a month or so now. Been kind of obsessed with it. Wouldn't surprise me if it came out of the same factory as the Anycubic or Creality printers. All looks almost identical! Which resin are you using?
