  1. Yes, I wait to glue the air cleaner on too. Many times a hood wouldn’t close correctly because of the air cleaner.

    Ferrari 458

    Beautiful Ferrari!
  3. Very nice model. Yours is one of the best builds I’ve seen of this kit.
  4. Awesome project, Kurt! I've really enjoyed following along.
  5. Nice work on the knobs. The yellowing on the steering wheel is perfect. My first car was a ‘62 Catalina So I know that look well.
  6. You really rocked it with this one! I would be proud to have built that Chevy.
  7. It looks perfect, Grzegorz!
  8. Gorgeous model, nice work!
  9. Beautiful drawing, Ken!
  10. Teresa, thanks for bringing this one up again. I know some of us hadn't discovered this forum in 2009 so we would have missed seeing Jerry's incredible work. I am sorry for your loss.
  11. Love this display and the models are awesome too!
  12. Again, thanks all for all your thoughtful comments. Cliff and Eric, I really look forward to the next time we can meet for a show.
  13. Very nice rendition of a different subject. Your color choices are perfect and the craftsmanship is first-rate. Love it, Cliff!

    '63 Bonneville

Great save! You really brought that one back and it looks sharp to me.
  16. Thanks all, for the comments!
  17. Lookin' good, Geno!
  18. LOL, no she didn’t have a hemi, I used a little artistic license. It had a 361 with a Torqueflite and would scoot along pretty fast, as my brother and I tested a few times. I had that engine ready to put in the model but ran into some fit issues at final assembly. By then I had put enough time into the project, so I took the easy way out and went with the kit engine. kind of ironic that a hemi was used because another engine didn’t fit!
  19. This is very much like a car my Mom had, but hers was a '66. I used the Revell GTX, cut the top off and painted it with Scalefinishes Dodge R Yellow. The back seat was narrowed down and the armrest panels from the AMT '69 GTX convertible were added. I always liked the look of the top well for the Revell '69 Camaro ragtop, so I copied it using craft putty to make a mold and nail acrylic to form the part. The top boot was donated by a Monogram '59 Impala and the uptop is a modified piece from a Polar Lights '65 Coronet. The rest is box stock with the exception of the plug wires and BMF and Molotow finished it off. This one took a while with the modifications but I like the way it turned out. I'll get some better pictures outdoors when I get a chance. Thanks for looking!
  20. Very nice! No hinge slots or inaccurate prop rod. Great idea, Steve.
  21. You got this, Ray!
  22. Really nice work on both!
  23. That looks restorable. Nice catch!
  24. I really love Michael's gauge faces but I don't use them on my 60's Pontiacs. The reason is the black gauge background which to my eye is not correct for these cars. If I could scan them into something like Photoshop and change the background to what looks to me like a gray with a very slight blue tint, I would be happier.
  25. Oh man, this one’s gonna be sweet! Keep it going, Geno!
