  1. Thanks, Steve. I had forgotten about Randy’s board.
  2. Does anyone have contact info for Wade Brooks? He built this beautiful NASCAR GTO a while back and I had some questions about it. Thanks for any help!
  3. Nice work, Mike! You did this one proud!
  4. Congratulations, Phil! Masterful job on a difficult subject.
  5. Mike, I recently experienced this with Model Master Panther Pink lacquer. I painted a ‘70 Super Bee back In April and while it isn’t tacky the paint is not hard. When I tried to clamp two parts recently the clamps left impressions in the paint. I have used these lacquers for years and never experienced a problem. Like you I used the dehydrator but it didn’t cure the paint. I will say that even though I paint indoors the humidity in Ohio has been higher than normal this year.
  6. I like it!
  7. Excellent work! I agree this is something special.
  8. That is a really nice model. Beautiful!
  9. I am very glad to see these.
  10. I heard he was ill and he has definitely fallen off the map. I hope he is ok but given that he hasn’t been on eBay in 5 months it sounds serious.
  11. Very different but it works! Nice job...
  12. I like it, Al! This would be a super 1:1.
  13. I have the ‘58 Bonneville. I haven’t built it yet but the quality of the resin casting and plating is excellent.
  14. A+ for both creativity and execution. Ready to hit the salt!
  15. You’re right about the latex. Ever notice how rubber bands turn dry and brittle now, when they used to last seemingly forever? Ground level ozone is given the blame for disintegration of latex rubber.
  16. Wow, that sure is a nice build!
  17. Excellent work on this one, Bruce! I built this kit right after it came out, but not as well as you did. The kit decals were way too thin and didn’ t show up against the black so I ended up buying a second kit so I could double up on the decals to make it look right. This was way before the internet and eBay. I loved these AMT kits, though, as they were simple but built up nicely.
  18. Very nice! It’s fun to model a car you once owned. Super job on this one, Charles.
  19. Kudos! Beautiful model...
  20. That is sure looking good, Mike!
  21. Rico, I recently got your grille for the ‘69 Barracuda and it’s fantastic. Charge what you need to; people are lucky to get what you’re providing and I know you are fair. Unlike with some unsavory characters that didn’t come through with resin they took payment for, with Shapeways we can be confident that a product will actually be “made to order” and we’ll receive it. Thank you.
  22. Thanks, John. I hope he’s ok and can get back to what he does so well.
  23. Anybody know what happened to T.M.? Nothing on eBay since late last year and I heard a rumor that he was seriously ill.
  24. Just realized that I hadn’t commented, although I followed the build thread. Another masterpiece, Steve! Thanks so much for sharing your techniques, they always inspire me. This Galaxies is beautiful.
  25. Beautiful job, Matt! Makes me miss the ‘65 1:1 we had...
