Bob, great work! Really like that triple T! Now, If I were to send you Ferrari, modern, with instruction to not paint red, would you build it??? LOL Good stuff! Chris
-
FANTASTIC Curtis! Looks better than a shelf model to me though. It appears you are doing all the right detailing tricks to bring it to life. I too look forward to seeing it completed! Chris

anybody build them
crispy replied to Brandon05l's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Brandon, Welcome! As the guys said, not much for derby cars around here, however you should be able to pick up some great pointers to maybe add to your builds. All the same, at one of the model shows I attended this summer I ran into a young man who built demo cars. I thought they looked pretty good. Here are a couple of them with more at the link. Scania 143 500 streamline
crispy replied to atenzapower's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I don't know a lot about Scania's but I do like to look at them as well. Interesting trucks they are. I like what you are doing to this one. Great work! Chris -
Hi gang, it's been awhile since I've done any emodelcars updates and thought that now is as good a time as any. Christmas is only 22 days away. Have you let your wife, children, friends and family know about emodelcars.com? Well, now is the time to let them know and to let them know if you are interested in an item there. Currently there are approximately 150 auctions running. We just hit 700 registered members. I certainly hope you can join in the fun of buying and selling. I know that a lot of the stuff has been there for months, but check back often and see some of the great little surprises that have popped up now and again. There have been some great eclectic items showing up. Built models, resin, vintage kits, diecast kits and some of your old favorites as well as new. Currently over 150 items for sale RIGHT NOW! Remember that emodelcars does not charge you anything to list your items with exception to premium add-ons, and even then those add-on's are inexpensive at only $1 and re-listing price drops to just 75 cents. Sell an item? No charges! So now is the time to get some cash in your pocket and list on emodelcars today. Or, if you prefer register and buy buy buy! Chris

Great Job Mike! I love it simply because it brings me back to a birthday back in the day. This was one of my birthday presents. Just a cool truck. I love that you stuck with the box cover build. It looks great. Fun stuff! Chris

Very nice! Clean and neat. Keep on sharing them! Chris

Round 2 at My Model Car Storage
crispy replied to Lyn's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Lyn, Good Luck! I'm happy to see you have a couple guys that are local and are willing to help you out. I suspect this can become a big job and possibly a burden, but you've done well and it appears things are going well for you on ebay. I keep my eye out daily to see what you list next. Have fun. Look forward to more pictures. Chris -
Great work Ray! The details make these cars. Chris
-
Very nice! Color, spoiler, it all fits and well executed. Thanks for sharing it with us!! Chris

Looks great even if you had the problems. Can't see them in the photos. I have this kit too, but I'm so intimidated by the parts and carbon fiber I've pretty much figured it will be built in 10-20 years, when I feel I have the skills. Great work. Chris
-
Wow, very stunning! I like the color scheme on this one versus the others. Your build is also very neat and clean. Well done! Chris
-
My tastes varied for a long time before I settled down on the kits I like the most. Mainly Exotic and Foreign. I do buy almost anything that tickles my eye. Collector/Builder here too. Here's some looks at what I've got: The "truck" section: Foreign Section(mainly) Odds & Ends: Some I have some I don't. Part of the hobby too I guess. Of course not all are seen in these photo's, but you get the gist of it. Chris

Really nice details! Looks great! I say keep at it! Chris

Mark, that looks great! Especially the paint color since you are using a can. I air-brushed mine and I'd say it is close although the real color has a little flake to it. I see nothing wrong with your build to date. I think this is one attractive car from Tamiya. They did offer their R32 with an engine, which was also a great kit. Here is my R34 and link if you'd like to see more: The pictures were taken a bit before I completed some very minor details. Nissan R-34 I anticipate your completion! Chris

Nice work Andy! I like the thread idea for linkages. It looks the part on the car. I'm sure after time it will sag, but it does look good. Hope I see it in June! Chris
-
"Kaching"! Brendan, Super nice kit. You wouldn't be able to tell you had any problems with the decal rings at all. Super build and another fine addition to your racing collection! Glad to see Scalefinishes paint on there. I'm trying to use up what paints I have so I can get to using my new Scalefinishes paints. Jameston does a fantastic job. Glad he filled in when Leon went out. Chris
-
Great work Marcos! I like that GTO only because you've done it in another color. Chris

Pocher kits do very well on ebay. That shouldn't be a problem. That would be the best spot to really sell his stuff. Exposure is the key here. I'd love to recommend emodlecars.com, but it hasn't the audience ebay has. Chris
