  1. So I looked today at Michael's and see it comes in sets. Four different colors at $8.99 for the set with about 3 different colored sets. The bottles are kind of small. Company is Stampendous. I'm going to stick with Martha for now. Chris
  2. Eric, I first used Martha's on my Skyline just to try it out. Should be no problems for you. Here's the link to my post: My skyline You can see it on the package tray. Very nice. Jeff, is that Michael's store pretty big? There are different level of Michael's stores, A-E. Some might have it and some might not. Chris
  3. Jeff, Have you got a picture or name of the stuff? I recently picked up Martha Stewart's flocking. It was affordable with a 50% off coupon as well as comparable to Testors brand in price with the discount. I was really pleased at how well it laid out and the lack of clumps. As you mentioned about the other stuff, this too was very fine. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the heads up. Chris
  4. Peter, This is one of those kits I want to get as well. The technical brilliance of it put it over the top. A great addition to any F1 collection I say. I was not aware of the differences you mentioned but the pictures certainly show it. I look forward to seeing you get this out. I suspect it will look as awesome as your other stuff. Chris
  5. Nice work Erik! Love it. The Aoshima wheels look great . How'd you get the lines so narrow and clean? Chris
  6. I use yellow can Easy Off cleaner. Another option is Clorox. I've heard Coke too, but that may take some time. Make sure to use safety wear. Do not inhale the easy off fumes. Chris
  7. Hey Ryan, I'm a little late to your party. All I can say is WOW. You make it look easy. In fact you make it look like anyone could do this. What a cool concept and great tutorial. I really look forward to seeing this. Chris
  8. It was noted at a IPMS website through Germany. I suspect Revell AG must have had a list of stuff at that show. It all does seem viable though. Chris
  9. Fantastic! I love the work on your decals! Everything matches well. Chris
  10. Great work Zoli! The T-Top Mustang is my favorite. All your work is fantastic though. Look forward to your next years worth of cool stuff! Chris
  11. Lots of good stuff! Put me down for the 458, one each DTM, the Kenworth wrecker and the Peterbilt. Looks like a big year in models! Chris
  12. That was too cool! I loved the in car camera. Dude didn't even blink. He made it look easy! Chris
  13. Hi Tom, Thanks. As for the Hurst Firebird, I am a huge f-body fanatic. Having owned quite a few 2nd gen models I kept track of a lot of the new stuff too. I found out about the car through my sources online, mainly Pontiac oriented. I believe 7 were made for the 97 year and 3 for the 98 year. Very rare cars. The Maserati kit was really easy to build. It was designed to have one of those little mabuchi motors. It is clearly a curbside kit. Even with that said I have seen some work on another Maserati with full engine details and it was beautiful. A fun kit to build if you can find one. Thanks! Chris
  14. Not a productive year for me, but I hope to change that as we all do! From beginning to end: Lindberg 1/20 Firehawk. Built as a 1 of 10 Hurst Firebird: AMT 2009 Dodge Challenger: Testors Maserati Merak SS: And the newly completed Nissan Skyline R-32: Thanks for letting me share my stuff with you guys throughout the year. Chris
  15. So I needed a quick build to get me going and chose my Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R. Kit was built box stock. Paint by Zero in Nissan Chrome Silver. Interior was flocked and two tone in blue and black. All in all a quick nice build. A few spots I'm not happy with and the camera I used was set wrong, so I'll be taking some more pictures later on with the corrected settings. Just a couple of pictures to view. Will be posting my completed builds of 2009 a little later. Thanks. Chris
  16. Very nice! Did you paint the chrome trim around the wheel wells or BMF? Looks really good. Chris
  17. Steve, therein lies the problem. There is no good way of sealing Alclad. Pretty much be ready to paint and apply the item to your model and NEVER touch it again. It is probably the only real drawback. Clear coats dull the finish. This had been tried for a long time by almost anyone that uses it. Chris
  18. Another vote for TS-14 by Tamiya. This is the only way I can do black. It turns out beautifully. However, with that said, you need to make sure all the body work and primer coats are smooth as glass. Here are two done with TS-14: Again, the key here is smooth body work and primer coats. Black takes a lot more work but the results are worth it when the paint jobs come out so clean. Good Luck! Chris
  19. My wife listened! She completely surprised me with this. I was thinking I would get it for my Birthday. I'm very happy!! Chris
  20. Yeah, Bill, I think the problem with the GTO, yeah, it's not in my case with the other Ferrari's. Need my address??? LOL Chris
  21. Brian, that is looking really good! This is the Monogram kit right? See, it does look good once you get it going. Look forward to seeing more! Chris
  22. A PRIUS? Really? Prius? BAH HUMBUG!
  23. Tommy, that weathering really give that car some character! Box stock build? Almost looks detailed! Great job on what looks like an intimidating kit. As mentioned before, I'll have to get one of these! Thanks for sharing! Chris
  24. I thoroughly enjoy the show. Personally I like that it is mostly exotics. I can watch other programs for "regular" cars. I don't get to see too many exotics and seeing them test them and The Stig run the track is my highlight. I also enjoy Star in a reasonably priced car too. As was mentioned the comedic timing and British humor is the best I've seen among the three. I don't think they are too old, at least in their minds eye. I'd hate to see it go as it is the highlight of my Monday nights. Chris
