  1. Yeah, what he said.... Chris
  2. Wait till Bob sees this! Or has he already built one for review I pre-ordered mine already. It looks fantastic even in red....... Looking forward to them, I think in June right? Chris
  3. Clear first, or you'll mottle the pearls. Chris
  4. My dad was an avid fan of CB'ing in the day. He had a whole unit set up in the house and of course every car we owned had a unit. He was known as the "Featherman". When he passed in '83 I took that name over for him. He was so popular back then he had postcards made up of a mans face on a feather and would mail them to people he would talk to on the radio. So, Featherman is mine whenever I use a CB which isn't often these days. Chris
  5. Great pictures Mark! Looks like your girls smile while they work. Dad must be doing something right! Chris
  6. Dave, I'd like to say thanks to you and all involved with this kit. I cannot believe how forthcoming you've been with all of us and our questions. I don't recall any manufacturer ever showing a mock up and answering questions before tooling. To me that is a sign that Moebius does things a bit different. That can only mean great things for the modeler's here and hopefully for the books at Moebius. Thanks again. Chris
  7. Nick, looks like you are having a good time building. They look pretty nice. Only complaint I have is that I don't see all eight of the hubcaps for the Charger! Chris
  8. Outspoken, I have to disagree. As a previous 2nd gen owner of many of these cars I have to say it looks exactly right. These cars sagged in the rear after some time, maybe not right away when new, but a few years down the road when the leaf's "relaxed". My 79 Trans Am looked just like that before the new leafs were put in. Dukefan, better pictures stat! From what I can see it looks just like the period piece. Chris
  9. Nice work. Love those little Merc's and Fujimi does a great job with them. Chris
  10. Nice job Curt! I know you had planned on doing this tutorial awhile ago. Glad to see it here. Now, all you need to do is submit this to the Model Cars Mag crew for print. Like you said, this has many more uses than just screen intakes. Chris
  11. Coming along nicely! Hopefully your tires will be to you on Friday/Saturday. Love your idea of adding the sled. I see a nice diorama with those two. Chris
  12. Very nice! The red-lines set it off for me. Chris
  13. If there wasn't a lot of buzz before (yeah, right) there will be now! Very cool! Sounds like they are trying to get it out before years end. They seem to be on schedule. Chris
  14. I think Harry has it down. It's a nice compromise without too much. As he said it would be more cumbersome if you were to add a section for each individual genre. Chris
  15. This was the second C&C of the year. The cooler windy weather and slight chance of showers I feel kept away a few cars. All the same, fun day and nice stuff. Many more at MY FOTKI Chris
  16. Terry that is a great observation, but I have a feeling they'll do a 458 mid year of '11. Probably a few months after the RoG is released. I believe that is what they did with the Audi, 612, etc.... Chris
  17. Great resource pictures! Thanks for risking your job! Chris
  18. Keep bantering guys. I'm learning a lot. I don't build much for trucks although I have a few in the collection. I do prefer 1/24 scale as my builds favor that anyway. It's a very limited base of models that you can see the difference in scale. Basically, I don't care, just let me have the Lonestar! Chris
  19. Paul, I've been following along quietly and have to say that you're doing a bang up job for being so new. I'm not a fan of the front tires, but you work with what you have. I'm going to look in my box and then check to see if I have any similar tires. I'll send you a message if I find some, but I think they would really help the truck look better. Or, has someone taken care of that tire ordeal for you? All the same, keep at it and have fun. It's coming along nicely! Chris
  20. I don't normally build trucks although I have a nice selection here at home. I am really looking forward to this. I'll support any manufacturer, especially ones that want to bring brand new tools of modern transportation to the table. If Art has a hand in it I know it will be just fine. If he's excited about this I can only imagine what we'll be like when we get our hands on it. Chris
  21. I have a Paasche booth. At the time I bought mine I hadn't even heard of Pace booths, which come highly recommended. The only drawback of this booth is getting filters. I buy them in bulk and when I get to my last few I start shopping again. Here's mine: I still love it. But, like anything else, printers need ink, cars need gas and oil, and these need filters. This booth can also be run with a charcoal filter as well reducing the smell. I have mine vented to go outside. Chris
  22. Jameston is fantastic. Marty, he'll take great care of you. His paint is great as is his service. The turn around time is super fast. Chris

Beautiful car. Nice clean build. Looks fantastic. I've got that Hasegawa kit as well. I have pictures saved of the car I'm going to do as well. Now, just to fit it in.... Chris
  24. I have to wonder why it got pushed. Especially if Bob is already building one for review. Hmmmm.......... Chris
